doesn't Security Scan out mean its out for delivery??

I heard that they specifically say "Out for Delivery" when it's out for delivery. Security scan out probably means it's on the queue to be loaded onto their vans for delivery.

Can anyone on UKMail confirm this? Do you see a "Security Scan Out" on your tracking page before "Out for Delivery" ?

Anyone around Sheffield had theirs by UKmail yet??

Everyone in the office is finding me hilarious because i have to turn round to look out the window, thankfully tho I can see if anyones coming... this is also bad because any sound that is even close to a van... i keep spinning on my chair to see! lol

Yes, mine's with ukmail, and it's currently marked "Out for delivery". "Security scan out" never appears for me at all in the history.

I can see that that would be frustrating, but to be fair to Apple, they do state that multiple items might delay an order - and categorically ask you if you might consider dividing the order up to speed up delivery.

I know this for a fact, as I ordered a MacMini and 2 iphones. They were both for business use, but as the billing information is the same, having 2 invoices instead of 1 wasn't a problem.

My MacMini is still on its way from China. The iphones are on the van for delivery today.
I'm not posting to gloat, just in fairness to Apple, they did point this out at the point of ordering.

I am not really complaining about Apple's need to ship everything together (although I don't really understand why they have this restriction, given that other companies such as Amazon allow separate shipping). In fact I think that the VAT rules mean that I need them to be delivered together. My business is on the flat rate scheme, which means that I can claim the VAT back only on orders of a certain value that are ordered as a single "package", so I can't split them up into separate orders and probably do need them delivered together.

What I am complaining about is that their logistics systems are inefficient when ordering another item with a new product. Why on earth couldn't they send the Air from China when it was ready instead of waiting several days for the iPhone to be ready? It is crazy that the Air was sitting in China, waiting for the iPhone to be ready to ship from the UK. First the iPhone held up the Air, and now the Air is holding up the iPhone, which is very poor logistics planning. If their systems used a bit of common sense then it would have probably have meant that I got them both several days earlier: probably on Monday instead of next Thursday.

Which is why I suggested that people do not order other stuff with a new product unless you have to (which unfortunately I did).

I am in Guildford! Got my iPhone 4S 32GB White this morning at 0800! :D There are no lines at all in the Three shop, but outside O2 there are like 50 waiting :p They were angry when I walked near them while and I was playing with Siri!

Yep, mine does. "Security Scan Out" was about 50 minutes before "Onto Delivery Van Scan".

Hah, I'm currently using a Samsung E700. I think an iPhone 4S is quite a significant upgrade for the both of us. :p

Aw gawd. I think it's looking more likely that you'll have to pick it up on Monday due to Royal Fail/Three. :(
Are you sure there's nothing you can do to get it tomorrow, like, tell them to deliver it to another address, or... I don't know, ANYTHING?
In the end, everything comes to he who waits!
Nice to know theres someone making a similar leap in phone technology, I bet I could win the 'how battered, falling apart and unusable is your old phone' contest though ;)

Called RM and asked them if I could arrange 'Safeplace' as my neighbours on one side are a lovely old couple who've taken courier / RM items in before if they've caught delivery person. RM said it was something that had to be arranged by companies when ordering. I suspect (or hope!) my phone has been sent by now, wouldn't trust Three to arrange that!

Have been in contact with @ThreeUKSupport on twitter who say they're 'looking into' delivery issues. Have now got the example of my colleague and yourself to challenge them with.

I'm sitting in the living room watching out the window for the Yodel van.... bout to restore my 3gs for my dad, who is having it.

Guys I think I'm being really thick, how do I get Siri to work??!! I press and hold the home button and it just brings up voice control and not Siri!!

Awesome. Hopefully mine is on the same truck. :D I'm Birmingham too, but outskirts near the Airport.

This is the BS company I am dealing with, no times, reasons, anything. Doesn't look like mine is coming today, its not that I NEEDED it on launch day but wanted it for this weekend as I have some good plans. I always have problems with Yodel.

If it doesn't turn up today I will cancel my order out of principle, as I was assured I would get it today. If I don't have it tomorrow I can wait a week or so for one! :(

Just called CPW to query and was first told 'well its first come first served' My replay was thats not what I was advised, so if I was lied to, to get a sale then cancel my order.

She then went to speak to Yodel and said the phone was at my local hub, waiting to be scanned out then delivered today, so will see what happens, still got an 11 hour window!

can people who have received the 4S please post there opinions of the the phone?
thanks

Now i need to go buy a MicroSim and case, what sim-only deals is everyone going with? I need a LOT of data :D

OK, own up, how many of you are sat alone at home thinking "Hmmm.... I could really do with nipping to the toilet, but don't want to risk it unless the courier turns up"?

Well let me tell you, that urge is going to be getting worse and worse all day long. As long as you don't think about it you should be OK though.
