UK iPhone 4S thread.

I've never held or even seen a white iPhone in the wild before... and when I opened the box today for the 4S, the first thing I noticed was that it was more creamy than brilliant white.

I just thought that's how the iP4 was... obviously not... but i like it anyway

Yep, I was surprised/disappointed with how not-white it is. Very cream.

Considering changing to a black, not sure though.

UK Mail. Their Glasgow depot only got the iPhones late this morning; too late for mine to go on the van down to Ayrshire.

They keep telling me it's on the van although their website says at delivery location. Did you phone them? Thanks!

To those who have got their already.

I knew that things like local businesses and directions don't work yet in the UK, but am hoping that location based reminders (i.e. "remind me to call someone when I get to work") does work.

Can anyone confirm.

Mine was scanned out at 8:44 and changed to out for delivery at 12:40 in Northampton. Don't worry it will come through.

Update: Just received mine!

Same Just got an email from home to say it's turned up. The status hasn't updated tho, so anyone who's still waiting have some hope

Anyone with UK Mail that still hasn't gotten theirs?

I'm worried because there's no way for me to check when it has actually been delivered (as the website cannot be trusted according to many in this thread) because I'm using Borderlinx. :roll eyes:

Have you tried the more detailed tracking method?

Take your consignment number from the UKMail tracking site and input it here :

That should give you a more detailed idea of where your phone is.

My white 32GB turned up about 3 hours ago. I can't do anything with it though as I need to restore my backup at home!

If it's via UPS they say on their site that delivery's occur between 9AM and 730PM (sometimes later). Still a long long time left!

I spoke to UPS and they said while they try to get all the deliveries done by 7pm but if the driver is busy it could be right up to 12pm tonight.

Because 32GB = 32,000bytes = 28.2GB

The 16GBs are actually only 13.73GB

The OS is apparently about 4gig, so that makes sense.

Oh well, Monday it is for me then.

I just hope that they leave a card for me to collect it, rather than me need to hang around all day on Monday. By the time I get home on Sunday night it will probably be too late to stop them from loading it back on the delivery van.
