Yes but you can get a one month contact and then cancel which is the same as PAYG basically ... or is getting the contract a problem?
how long are people waiting for three to unlock there phone? I phoned about 1pm and mines still locked?

Do wonder if Apple have committed x % of stock in the stores to each carrier hence the SIM free OOS but not the contract.
My order put in on the 9th for 32GB White has now hipped and should be here Tuesday. Bit odd that some people on hee seem to have ordered later and theirs have already shipped...

Does anyone know when the average joe will be able to get a sim free in store without refreshing a freaking page every night at 9pm? This contract only priority is really peeing me off.

As I said, I bought mine in the Covent Garden Apple Store about 13.30 today. Was odd though, the clerk sort of took me to one side and spoke in hushed tones. Can't imagine he was doing something he wasn't supposed to, but with the PAYG Three SIM I walked out with an unlocked iPhone 4S 32GB Black.
Well, i got a32gb black payg from the 3 shop in the metrocentre without any problem so clearly each shop has their own rules. I dealt with a very nice chap called stephen and he said he will sell to anybody as he gets commission regardless!

I was told that unlocking would be no problem, I guess it depends who you speak to.

Feel like putting my middle finger up to apple -_- called stratford today about the issue last night and the guy assured me that I'd be able to reserve from them tonight he said they'd have stock...
there were loads in the southwest tonight, none in white tho. All gone in space of a few mins
how can an apple store have left over contract ones if they only sell sim only?
Got one in Brent Cross, 16gig black reserved. 😀 Wanted one for my girl 🙁 being the genius she is reserved one in Glasgow by mistake haha
