UK iPhone 4S thread.

Just spoke to someone at Orange (online chat). Was looking at getting an iPhone 4S on pay as you go - it shows as in stock, but when you go through the steps of ordering there's a message saying:

"Demand for the shiny new iPhone 4S has been huge, so we can’t tell you exactly when we’ll be able to deliver yours at the moment. Please feel free to complete your order, and we promise to get it to you as soon as we can. Your delivery charge will be 99p."

When I asked the chap at Orange about it, he told me that it would be delivered within 30 days. That's a bit hard to believe!

Still waiting for my order to be delivered directly from Apple - ordered it on the 17th and it's still showing delivery between 25 Oct and 1 Nov.

Just called Three to see why my iPhone hadn't been unlocked yet. The had a look on their system and there was a message from Apple saying I would have to wait another 24/48 hours due to a backlog of unlocks being processed.

Frustrating! But still quicker than buying from Apple online I suppose.

Glad I rang Three instead of waiting and wondering... be nice if they contacted me to let me know though!

After all that i've just had my unlock confirmation through, about 10 minutes ago.

Again same here! Using a very old Samsung and it's a different world altogether... it's sad to admit but I've come to rely on my iPhone for work and home stuff and to be without is very annoying.

Let me know when you get your text and i'll do the same. Will be interesting to see when they do some through.

i ordered on the 17th too, however the order is still proccessing and they gave me back my money... im guessing theyl charge at a later date or il have a free iphone either way i dont care lol im checking tomorrow or tonight to see if they update it..

i asked my mates siri what are the chances of me getting a reservation quicker than my iphone pre-order, it said "you have more chance of licking gaddafis balls" lol joking i tried yesterday had no chance, try at 8 and keep refreshing every 5 minutes

Seems there's a few of us in this boat. Apple say it was shipped on 22nd and have a valid tracking number, but UPS haven't received them yet. Delivery date of 25th (tomorrow) looking shaky. I called Apple tonight who in turned called UPS but they couldn't give any explanation/detail.
