Orange wouldn't do a deal with me been a customer over 2 years wanted £219 for the phone on a £46 per month contract JOKE. Hello (again) Vodafone White iPhone 4S 32GB 1200 mins 3K txt 750 MB data £51 per month (18 month contract) paid £79 for the phone but got £59 back so only £20. Orange get a grip!!!

Does anybody know which carrier Vodafone uses for home delivery? I'm sure several years ago it was Royal Mail!

Gone for a 32GB White on 12 Month thinking I'll be due upgrade for iPhone 5!

Parcel force, I think. I decided to pick mine up from the store, thought I had to get my sim card sorted, but they send you one supposedly.

Hi guys, i have been on the vodafone forum and got some info, parcelforce will deliver the phones, they expect the phones in 12th/13th, so tomorrow, pre order i.e. deliver to store stock is completely different to store stock as all deliver to store stock come from the "V Store" which is vodafones online shop warehouse, if you pre ordered on the 7th, you will get your phone on friday or saturday depending on delivery schedule.

As i find out more i will post it.

Also, does anyone know if vodafone stores are opening early on friday ?

I was sorting out my failed upgrade yesterday with several members of the customer services team and each one told me the same thing - stores will have very limited stock (some said 4 of each model), but that is completely separate from the preorders and upgrades, as those are assigned to customers and cannot be sold. I then saw on Vodaonfe twitter something about stores opening at their normal opening hours. All that basically means that there isn't much point in queueing up. If you get your text about the despatch, then you will be able to pick up your phone the next day.

Well, my first customer service experience with vodafone wasnt great.

Realised like many others that the cost of the phone has dropped since when i pre ordered , i paid £259 getting £59 credited back in november . so £200 for handset . Now on the website it says on the same tariff the handset is £169 !!

So i called customer services and get greeted by someone who barely speaks english, i tell her what has happened and she puts me on hold for quite a time. She then comes back and tells me that my order is in stock and shall be with me in 2-3days and i should receive this in an email soon.

Excellent news ..... but she didnt answer my question. so i asked again about the price difference to be told , "the handset is £259" , i said yes it was on sunday but now it says £169 . i was then advised to wait until i receive the phone and then call up again .

I placed an order on Sunday for a Black 32Gb with a 12 month contract (600 mins). But I've just realised, as somebody pointed out that I should have gone for the 1200 min option, and paid £120 less up front.

However I have a feeling if I ring up and change the order now somehow I'll lose out on the £59 cashback..

I guess I'm no worse off really, as long as I don't go over 600 minutes a month! Although the 25Mb of European data roaming that comes with the 1200+ minutes contracts would be handy..

if you change your order now you'll get a new iPhone price but will miss out on the £59 offer.

Seems there are dummies all over the place on the vodafone forums regarding this :/

you won't save money either way guys, i rang up and got the same price for my iPhone 4s £31 tariff i paid £259 but had £59 cash back which took me to £200 but they then changed the prices which are £169..
so either way guys you lose money if you stay put, i stated that a refund would be easier as i wouldn't want to lose my new iPhone and they happily refunded £31 to £169 and i get my new phone tomorrow..

Well I went for deliver to store and haven't had the dispatch email but I have had the next one with the ParcelForce tracking details and my phone is at the local depot where I live en route to my local VF store for collection later today or tomorrow. Ordered Sat p.m. Didn't expect this.

Yup I got the same e-mail, my phone is winging it's way to the store as we speak, still no credit check e-mail.

However, sod it at least I know i own one and it's on it's way...we can sort the rest out later...

Roll on tomorrow/Saturday

Got my vodafone dispatch email- opted to collect in store & it says i can do so from 1pm tomorrow! Huzzah!

Well whoever signed for them in Loughborough has a signature like a rude gentleman's part...but it arrived there 30 minutes ago..

Anyone ordered for home delivery and had a shipping email/text?
I ordered a black 64GB 12 month contract on Friday am.
I just phoned to see what the chances are of getting it tomorrow. The person I spoke to said it might ship tomorrow for delivery on Monday, depending on how many they receive tomorrow (friday). After reading this thread I'm still hopeful of getting it tomorrow, just wondering what others are experiencing.

Was browsing the Vodafone site just now and was offered to chat with an advisor. So I went ahead and asked him about my upgrade status. He took all my details including the order number and came back with a Parcel Force tracking number.

I ordered on tuesday afternoon for a store pickup in Moorgate London. That was my second attempt to upgrade, as I upgraded online a day before, but it was placed as a new order instead. Had to cancel the initial order and complete the upgrade over the phone.

The Parcel Force tracking says "Date: 13-10-2011, Time: 10:45, Location: London North West Depot, Tracking Event: Collected from customer". Given that it's already in London, I guess I should be able to pick it up tomorrow

The lesson to be learnt from this is that if you didn't get your dispatch email or text yet, it does not mean that nothing is actually happening.
