UK iPhone 5 thread

Waaa still processing :(

Did someone say the warehouse is in Hinckley? Cos that is 20 mins up the road from me.. so here is my crazy theory, mine hasn't shipped or moved from processing because it is so close to me?
 
Ordered 16GB black iPhone 5 from Apple, and the status has changed to "shipped" this afternoon (in the last 30 mins). Delivery estimate is showing as the 21st, and being delivered by UPS.
Can't wait until Friday :D:D
 
Is anyone buying the phone out right on pay as you go? I don't really want to be tied to a 2 year contract again but £530 is loads to pay up front.

Getting a PAC was a nightmare for me:

Me: I would like to cancel my contract and get a PAC please.
CS: A PAC is for moving to another networks
Me: I know
CS: The reason I asking this is because we are offering really gooden dealsing
Me: I'm not interested
CS: "still decided to tell me about the "gooden dealsing" lol"
Me: I'm not interested, i've already ordered a contract
CS: do you mind be asking what you got
Me: an iPhone 5
CS: The reason I ask this is because we also offer iPhone 5 and we have really gooden deals!
Me: no thanks
CS: "decided to let me know the deal anyway"
Me: NO THANKS!
CS: can I ask why?
Me: because your service is rubbish to be honest
CS: Ok so you seem to want a cheaper deal, the reason I say this is because we are offering some reals gooden dealsings! * Starts blurring out a deal
Me: NO YOU'VE ALREADY TOLD ME ABOUT THE DEAL THREE TIMES I JUST WANT MY ********** PAC CODE!
CS: Ok you'll recieveings a PAC code within 24 hours.


No exaggerations here if anything i've cut it shorter, I felt like I was on phone jacker!

Same here, without the extra data. 500MB is plenty for me. Just don't see the point in going back £36+ a month contract. Works out a lot cheaper buying the phone outright I'd say.

Shipped direct from Apple via UPS.

Sadly...normally UPS deliver to my area after 4pm...... And UPS never send any info when they're near or within the hour etc :(

I was the same today on Live Chat when trying to get my wife's PAC from O2 CS.
 
Mine is now marked as shipped on the Apple Store via UPS (though I can't track it yet).

I also managed to get a nano SIM from a Vodafone store this morning, so I'm all set. :cool:

mate that's NOTHING compared to what I had to go through, it was a 30min call and I think there were threats of genocide involved at one point.
