are you saying Three's coverage in London is shocking?

not what I've heard, I really hope it isn't as I've just signed up to a monthly contract with them; monthly so not the end of the world but I'd prefer to not have the faff of changing again.

anyone else got experience of their coverage in London and the SE?

It's gotten worse since June yes. Been with three ages.

EC2
E15

And surrounding areas, very very bad these days. They have no plans to update either!!!

Order through Carphone Warehouse has been shipped to store so I can collect it. I've been given a Yodel tracking number so I can see when the store has it.

If it gets delivered to the store tomorrow, I'll break in and steal it I think :p

My girlfriend is on Three and she insists on having perfect coverage across London, a large part of the reason why I'm switching to them!

I won't deny the coverage part, I never see no service.
But usage wise, it's poor now.

I went from getting 5,6,7mbit up north to struggling to even load pages here.

Watching any sort of video as well is a no go currently in the post code areas I mentioned above!

im on vodafone 10.50 a month - 500mb data 300 mins unlimited text .. £5 for additional 500mbs .. i think its quite cheap. obviously paid for the phone £529 .. but still over 2 years this is cheaper than going for a £37 month 2 yr contract

I didn't get my shipping email for my 4S until 12:56pm last year, so thats more like 20 hrs and 17 mins!!:)

Fixed that for you... LOL!

I just checked mine from last year and funny thing is I got it exactly the same time as you 12:56 the day before delivery!!

We should all see some movement tomorrow afternoon!

Got my nano from 3 - my local store refused to give me one ... said come back on Friday? Anyway went to the one in Coventry who sorted me out. The staff there aren't exactly looking forward to the madness of Friday but I guess stuff like this comes with the job.

For those who still plan to interact with stores and customer services this week, remember that the staff are people too just doing their job with the information they have. Take a deep breath before exploding. :)

The SIM swap took about 2 hours for those wondering.

Delivery

Ordered my 2 iphone as soon as the store came back up on the 14th.
Order still says Preparing for Shipment and Apple charged me on the 16th.
Hoping it will arrive on Friday since I've taken a day off to collect it.

If I had ordered it on the 14th and it still said Processing, I'd phone Apple.

FYI I'm a 3 customer and went into 3 store on the 14th and got 2 nano sims free without any bother, they are in our iphones right now with an adapter being used regularly.

Outrageous that t-mobile are said to be charging £10.21 for their nano sim swaps. Bit of a kick in the teeth particularly when they are only 'selling' them from Friday too - very likely I will not be all set on Fri (considering the process/time it takes for porting the number over from current micro sim) - and I will have to pay £10.21 for that too.

Thanks t-mobile

From what I have read they appear to be the only network charging, including orange which is part of the same comp now (EE).

Am I brave enough to cut/sand down the current micro sim? Hmm probably not to be fair haha..

Managed to get my nano-sim from the local O2 store today. Fellow just asked how I was actually getting the handset, and when I confirmed it was coming direct from Apple, he just went and got one for me.

He was also reminding me to make use of my £10 voucher due to the network outages a few weeks ago, he said they have been absolutely mobbed due to it this week. :)

I'm on voda. I wouldnt bother paying for extra data as Voda have fair usage policy. I used to go over my data quota regularly, but they never charged me a penalty. Spoke to nice member of staff a while later and he gave me an extra 500mb per month free.

I'm on sim only 3000mins, unltd txts, 1.5gb data and euro traveller all for £13pm

So what sort of data speeds are people getting from different networks?
Im currently with O2 which is very patchy where I live, so have ordered a iP 5 with Orange so im able to switch to EE, but it seems that their 4GEE is not going to be very quick.
When I get a 3G signal on O2 next ill test it and post it on here.

Quite gutted about EE not offering unlimited data. But I still think I've made the right choice in leaving o2 for Orange.

Sure, Orange have WAY WAY WAY better 3G coverage but when you do get a signal you will find your speeds are less than desirable. Reason I left was because they put up my supposedly fixed monthly tarrif but also because speeds were really bad. Makes sense that the network which birthed EE is only having 8-12mbps on LTE.
