UK iPhone 5 thread

phoned orange as my order still says on the online tracker that there is a problem with it even though I had phoned up and resolved this on Friday.

The guy didn't really have a clue firstly said he couldn't check the account as I didn't have a orange mobile number as I was a new customer.

Went on hold for a bit and then came back saying it was on its way, I asked if I should get a txt saying its getting delivered but again wasn't too sure, asked if it will be delivered tomorrow and he said he wasnt sure how long it would take for delivery but I would be getting an iphone.

not really slick customer support :confused:

Mines in the same location (Tamworth), on it's way to South Wales :D

Tracking says it will be delivered by the end of the day :( , UPS usually arrive between 11am and 1pm where I am so hopefully they will turn up early :D

yup, dont worry.........it just means its not actually booked in to the depot yet......look again after 7pm :D
 
Tracking mine via UPS now too... Also in Tamworth!

For info, I rang UPS earlier as I will unlikely be home to receive mine tomorrow. Asked what my options were. Apple do NOT allow for them to leave with a neighbor so there's a few options:

Ring UPS AFTER the failed attempt and arrange redelivery on a set date or change delivery address.

Collect in person from regional office after 6pm TOMORROW or saturday morning 9-12. For tyne & wear this is at team valley.

If neither of the above they will attempt to redeliver on MONDAY. If this fails they will try once more on Tuesday before the phone will be returned to apple.

I will be leaving work early to check if I have a delivery failed card, if I do i'll go collect it tomorrow evening, if not great, I will wait in.

Hope this info helps some of you!

Hey, we got the same case and from the same place too :)
Mine actually arrived 'next day' from them, was surprised to say the least, seems a nice case huh?
 
On order status at apple website, is the section that says e.g processing items-delivery-00/00/000< is this date updated whenever it will be before this?

I work basically very close to Woodside Tram Stop - guessing you will know where that is!

Also where phones are coming to tomoz! :D

I would imagine EE would have better speeds / coverage for LTE than Three for the first year or so anyway as they have had much more time to plan/implement their infrastructure.

mine was the same till a few minutes ago, its now appearing on ukmail tracking.

give it time, im sure the system wil update itself soon.. imagine the number of phones being scanned in!

why do you need to leave work early? you can check the UPS tracking - it will say if they failed to deliver...

Indeed I do, Nan lives opposite ashburton park! I'm thinking they'll come through the Purley Way depot if it's UKMail? For Orange anyway.

I've just sent that case back to MobileFun (it only arrived this morning) because a lot of things it may be, but "Clear" certainly isn't one of them.

Here's a picture of it on top of the screen protectors (that I also sent back due to a poor cutout for the Home button).

think of me......i know the UPS driver for my area (rural) and i know he will ring tomorrow morning to wind me up...........he does not deliver to me until 5pm as i am last on his round due to location....bet he tries to be even later! ;)
