UK iPhone 5 thread

What your joking me that seems a bit last minute. 3 hour drive from Tamworth to Cambridge and thats if it comes straight here. Suppose if their driving in the early hours it'll be faster cause no traffic. I have faith that UPS will get me my iPhone in time. Think they come about 1PM where I live. I'll still get up before 8 just in case.
 
Still not got a email or text from three yet but worried as I seen someOne post on here earlier that they have when they ordered Tuesday which is quite late tbh, I ordered on Sunday btw, anyone one else still not got a email or text from THREE?
 
For those with UKMail packages, go here:

In this link you need to put in your tracking number from Apple in the "Reference Number Box" - this will then give you the consignment number

Now go to this link:

Once at the Business Post link , put in your consignment number and click on "More Info Open"


Should get this. UKMail is not updating it's status on the main page, so this site will offer more info.

Mine is collected and ready to go out! - mine is listed as still "Awaiting Collection" on UKMail's main tracking website - and it says it is in Hinckley but according to the business post link it is now in Burgess Hill not far from where I live!

I have to say this is a lot of P***ing about just to find a damn updated status on packages.

By early hours I think he means before 4am. UPS does it's sorting around midnight and then large trucks move the packages out to the regional depots.

Doesn't seem so. I'm just really annoyed that they would unequivocally state "guaranteed" and sign me up to a new contract face to face. I wouldn't mind waiting, but I object to being sold rocking horse manure. It leaves such a bad taste in my mouth that I'll probably cancel the household's other 3 contract unless they offer me a really good apology package.

I've got a similar result here, how do you know Burgess Hill isn't just where the package is headed once it's picked up from Walsh Western (Syncreon)?

Call them up and ask for a tracking number for your preorder ;)

I hadn't received anything so called up and got the tracking number so I know where it is now ;)

:0 did they say why you wasn't sent the tracking number in the 1st place? how weird, I call them up now and see :)

Ye makes sense be cheaper cause they can travel further without stopping. I read to save fuel the UPS vans only turn left.

when i said early hours, i meant around 2~4am, i always got my UPS orders before 1pm, earliest was 9am
 
bumper and rubber case turned up with a free screen protector, wont be using it though i bought the Steinheil Series Ultra Crystal protector

Went to Three Store 10.30am got Nano Sim and adapter free. old sim deactivated 4.00pm, got ups tracking number this afternoon The excitement is building up to a fever pitch !!

I would take that with a pinch of salt. I didn't receive my tracking number by text or email but rang CS and they informed me of my tracking number. Parcels now with DPD in Birmingham! Keep the hope!
 
Just got off the phone to Orange, they said it should be delivered saturday. This is perfect for me as I'll be at work all day tomorrow and it would end up going back to the depot and would have to wait until Monday.

I ordered online via the Orange website as an upgrade, this was at 19:00 last friday after a nightmare of a day of trying to order it.

I went into CPW at 09:00 last friday but they didn't have any prices so had to head back home. After noticing many sites were going live, I rang the CPW store but they said they still couldn't order it for me. At about 16:00 i decided to order it via CPW call centre, after 40 minutes waiting on the phone I was ordering it. I got to the up front cost payment of £360 for the 64GB black version but the payment wouldn't go through! The guy said he would call me back 15 minutes later so he could find out what the problem was.

Turned out it was my ****ing bank randomly blocking my card for fraud prevention. I explained to NatWest they had probably just screwed up my chances of getting an iPhone 5 on pre-order but obviously they didn't care. I waited for CPW to call back once the card had been unblocked but this never happened.

I rang CPW customer services to only be told I had to wait back in line. After 1 hour they cut me off, at this point i threw my mobile at the wall which is now not functioning. It was then that I decided to try the Orange website, it took many attempts due to the site crashing and NatWest blocking my card again but eventually... I got it ordered.

Sorry for the long story, had to get it off my chest.

Royal Mail is located in Burgess Hill AND there is one in Greenford. My guess is UK Mail have the shipments from Syncreon and Royal Mail are delivering them.

Who knows lol, but from what it says mine is in Burgess Hill and the other poster says his is in Greenford.
 
Phew, my UPS page finally updated :) also I rang my local Orange store and the chap said if I ring back at 8am and they have some, he'll put a PAYG nano sim aside for me!

Called them said they haven't got a number yet but should get something tomorrow and should get the phone tomorrow, why they say I get a email today? And then today comes and it's tomorrow :/ well at lest its ordered and hopefully be with me tomorrow
 
Just picked up my nano sim from t-mobile for £10. No adapters in store so I tried to blag one off 3 but no can do. Micro sim now disconnected.

The biggest irony would be for UPS trying to call me tomorrow saying they can't find my street and no way for them to get through to me :eek:
