Yup.. it just arrived in Newcastle, and my other one just left Tamworth.. time for bed!

You serious? I'm in NI. Exact same situation as you only my email confirmation of order was at 8.05am...so earlier ... .... but lo and behold, my delivery date says 24th - what on earth is going on ? It's a wee bit ridiculous ....and like you say, zone 1 on the apple map ..

If I don't get my phone tomorrow I'll be fuming :(

I believe they start in London first then outside, nonetheless I hope you get yours soon and enjoy it :)

Mines also finally left Tamworth, it should be on it's way to Swansea (3hr drive) to be sorted then out for delivery :D

Mine also just arrived in Newcastle, probably on the same lorry.

Scanned by a guy named Christopher Morton, if it turns up damaged I know who to go looking for ;)

Don't panic! It's just different lorries going different places leaving at different times, if they all left at once they would be held up in traffic just getting out the UPS depot....

I sure will, my friend will be pissed to see mine coming first, even though we both ordered at the same time, but his confirmation came so late, they be sending his in October, I'll be laughing on his face in the pub for sure tomorrow night *Evil Grin* :D :p :rolleyes:

Haha I was up and ready to pre-order I wasted 10 minutes having to put another credit card in cause it couldn't complete transaction but still got confirmation email at 8:25am :) My friend had his confirmation about 10 mins later but he lives like 10 miles away from Tamworth so he's probably going to get his first and rub it in my face but if i get mine first i'm definitely rubbing it in his face :D
 
Mine has left Preston and so is roughly a 3 hour drive from me :)

Anyone know the UPS depot packages are kept at around Glasgow before delivery? I know there are many customer centres but I don't know if these also serve as depots..

Ya i did that mistake last year and i got nothing, this time i put my card the day before and called the bank to confirm that an amount of XXXX will be taking out in a couple of days from apple, all I did was wake up at 7am Friday pre-order day, and ordered mine by 8:05 and confirmation email by 8:09 *using express check out*

As for your friend, well I guess he'll enjoy his first, but we will enjoy ours more later with the more wait :D!

Anyone ordered a case yet, which one?

I prefer the phone without the case but two weeks ago I dropped the iPhone 4 and smashed the front glass so will need it for the 5!

Anyone know what time the UPS home deliveries start?
Although I predict I'll be waiting until late afternoon for mine, I'd hate to be sleeping if it was to come early..

9am to 7pm (sometime later to residential area) i am quoting them

They say 9am - 7pm. However UPS also offer a before 10am service and a before 12 noon service.
My guess is that up until 12noon they will be doing those deliveries and the standard service items will come in the afternoon / evening.

I tend to sleep in pretty late so I'm paranoid the UPS gods will play a cruel trick on me by delivering it too early :D
I'll set an alarm for 9, It's going to be a very long day.

no they wont offer you that service between 10am and 12 afternoon, they're all in standard deliveries process if you bought them from Apple Store directly, you can't change it either.
