UKMail website is now working. Was able to get some tracking info. It's out for delivery in my city but nothing more informative than that.

arrgghh no idea which company is delivering mine all it says is syncreon parcel delivery and that it's out for delivery, ukmail website is down so I can't try that. Wish they'd hurry up I've got things to do, my friend up the road who ordered from 3 has his an hour ago

scrap that ukmail is back up but all it says is out for delivery, from past experience of ukmail they weren't the best.

If I phone up my local Apple Store, will they tell me stock levels? and any chance that they'll put aside an iPhone for me? (talking about in the next few days not today btw)

My order status says dispatched 2-8 Oct so I'm thinking I'll just go and buy one if I can and cancel my order.

I'd usually wait, but my current phone is getting worse and worse, frequently refusing to send texts :(

Any advice from anyone regarding cancelling an order and buying in store?

As a recent Apple Store leaver I can tell you they won't share stock levels with you nor will they put one aside. Most stores are getting enough phones to get them through the weekend I hear so joining the queue - even after it's died down a bit - is not a bad idea I reckon.

Phones4u have done what they promised....

2 phones delivered by special delivery with the bonus starter pack with

case
screen protectors
cleaning stuff
stylus
Car charger

definitely worth it!

delivered with Royal Mail special delivery.

Problem is, the missus has them and im at work.

How random. Mine has just arrived in a taxi.

A TAXI DRIVER JUST DELIVERED MY IPHONE?

Not going to complain. Anyone else have a similar delivery method?

I had this a couple of years ago when I received my iPhone 4. In my case it was DPD, but Im sure other couriers do the same. They hire individuals to help with their work load. I had two lovely OAPs turn up at 10PM with my iPhone 4 in a little old rusty car jam packed with parcels.

Slightly concerning and confused me at the time as well!

Awesome! So would you recommend trying to buy one from the store before cancelling the order? Any risks to this or are order cancellations usually pretty painless?

Got my Vodafone text and email this morning stating the phone is available for collection from my local store.

Guess I'll go get that at some point then

I'd say go to the store and get one before you cancel but ONLY if you can afford to pay for two iPhones the now. There's no saying how long it takes banks to get the money back into your account after the cancellation happens.
