FREE TETHERING! hahaha.

If I wasn't using Virgin 100Mb Fibre Optic, I'd cancel my broadband and just tether ;)

Are you on the one plan or managing to tether on another package? Just asking as I signed up to the one plan for the tethering but thinking of downgrading if tethering is still possible on other plans, thanks.

MINE HAS ARRIVED!

East London - E12 via UPS

Guy said he had around 120 iPhones in his van and because there were so many he is literally only doing 2 postcodes e12/e13 today and practically stopping on every street!

Also said one guy managed to order 10 iPhones!

Exeter, still waiting!

ah that sucks, my phone left the UPS warehouse this morning. I heard some people saying that the vans drive to the furthest address away from the depot and work back inwards throughout the day. Not sure if that's true or not though...

ROYAL MAIL JUST DELIVERED MY IPHONE 5 FROM T-MOBILE!!

I preordered a new phone for She Who Must Be Obeyed, but wasn't bothered about getting one straight away for myself. But when I saw there were only a handful of people waiting outside the O2 store when I was walking to the office, I went in and got myself one.

Now, how do I explain the fact that I have a new phone, but she has to wait until Monday for hers...

I was going to join the line for a new iPhone 5 today, as the one I pre-ordered isn't due to arrive until 1st October. But then this morning the status of my order changed to 'preparing for shipment' and I am no longer able to cancel the order… so I can't line up and get one today - gutted. Strange thing is that the estimated delivery date hasn't been changed; thats still 1st Oct.

I really hope Apple haven't just changed peoples order status just to dissuade them from lining up in store then cancelling their order, that would be a mean thing to do to us fan-boys! I'll be SOOOOO ANNOYED if the status stays on 'preparing for shipment' for a week until they finally dispatch it :((

You could line up to get one today and return your other one when it's delivered for a refund? (Assuming you've ordered unlocked from Apple and you've got the money/credit to pay for both until your refund is processed)

Wahey :D My ladyfriend just messaged me a picture of the delivery box. (I had to go to work today )

5Ghz wifi connection not holding

Is anyone finding that their iPhone 5 is not holding connection to a 5Ghz wifi (dropping). Connecting to a time capsule?

Hmmm could do. Whats the process for returning an online order? Do I have to pay for shipping?

My 32GB black has been delivered :D Cant wait to retire my 8GB 3gs!!

But working till 4pm :(

Have apple stores in started stocking cases/bumpers? Went to the manchester on last night to try my luck but they didnt have any out!

Waiting for mine from UKMail - Ordered directly from Apple. CH63 and my girlfriend is waiting for her's at home, also from Apple CH60.

However, my friend has just got his, pre-ordered from o2 via DPD, CH63.

Anyone around Wirral/Liverpool go theirs yet from UKMail Runcorn? Apparently it went out for delivery at 6am! Anytime now I am thinking. :apple:

Surprised at that. Mine got delivered to Liverpool city centre at 7.15 this morning. Was yours in Runcorn last night, or somewhere else?

Yep in Runcorn last night and loaded onto "Liam Price's" delivery van at just past 6 this morning - still no sign, so they must be busy. Previous things delivered with them we usually get quite early.

EE hasn't enabled their 4G network yet, when thy do EE will offer speeds of up to 40Mbps :D

That's what we expected, but in reality it's between 8-12mbps. Says so at the bottom of EE's website.

4G five times faster than 3G: based on 1.5 Mbps UK average speed for 3G (source: most recent Ofcom speed survey) and 8-12 Mbps average speed for 4GEE (source: EE data).

Because of this, I feel obliged to update my earlier post just because I'm over the moon at the minute.

Well played for reversing your rant :)

As I said up thread, all these folk are just normal people doing their jobs with the information they have been given. iGadget launches put a massive strain on their systems which are probably just about managing the rest of the time.
