Not sure how long it takes to go from preparing for shipment, to shipped. But I'm guessing I'm looking at a Monday delivery which puts Apple in the clear :mad:

That's good news. I'm getting annoyed by the fact I ordered mine on 19th September and it is giving an estimated delivery of 22nd-26th October and people who are just ordering now are getting late October estimates. I'm sure the wait will be worth it... :(

We're in the same boat... I ordered on the 21st September and estimated delivery is 22nd-26th October. I am hoping Apple would send the phones before these dates...

Awesome! Looks like it may be happening. Tried to check on my status and the site's down. We may be getting an update!

Here's hoping mine changes today as well. Still might get it by the 8th!

I know it will be locked once I put my sim in it but I am willing to pay the small amount to unlock if I at sometime need too.

I bet you all get updates tonight and I will perhaps get the one I tried to reserve this am.

Probably not. More likely Saturday or Monday. Doubt it would be later than that.

As far as I'm aware, Apple don't delivery Saturday's (unless someone can correct me). So I'm expecting Monday. Although it would be a result to have it for the weekend !!! :)
 
If they do ship tomorrow:

Good News = In time for a weekend of hapiness :)
Bad News = No time to spend with the missus :mad:

delivery 2nd - 8th October

Can't log in to my apple account .. maybe they feel bad about the delay and will do a SATURDAY delivery just for us?!?!?!
 
So.. accounts are down for everyone in the UK at least??..
hopefully thats a good sign, and we'll all be greeted with "out for delivery" messages when were able to log back in.:D

That may not be true, although i wish it is true.

My shipping date is 24th - 30th October and even it is down for me!! looks like it has gone down in general for everyone.

If its true maybe i will be getting my phone earlier woohooo :p lol
 
Expect they're just upgrading the servers to deal with all the people refreshing the track order page.
 
Been with O2 for > 10 years. Had 6 months left on my O2 contact and was told I could not take up the 6 month early tariff. They had no stock either.

Arnie screamed "fark you" in my head, and walked to the Apple Store.

Bought out my 3gs contact on O2, and moved to Vodaphone, mainly because if signal in remote areas (ie at home in North Wales, where O2 is very poor), and other family members are on Vodaphone too.

In fact it was cheaper than sticking with O2 if I was offered the 6 month early tariff anyway.

So I have a shiny new iphone5, upgraded from 3gs, and on a network which gives me better coverage, just waiting on my number to be ported over (within 48 hours, I've been told).

They are the same price sim free from CPW but they lock to whatever sim you put in first.

yes, I've also heard apple dont deliver on weekends as they have to pay more
