Epic fail!! Ordered the Lightning to 30 pin adapter at the same time as the phone and now shows as dispatched for delivery in October for both items and the order cannot be edited! I thought they would ship the phone for launch day then the adapter when available
Nope. NEVER order an accessory from Apple with another item. Always a chance it'll slow it down.
Phone the Apple Store and they should be able to cancel the adaptor and hopefully get the phone to you asap.

I've been caught out by that before.
Also, if you read the blurb on the 2nd page of the Apple order page, it states that the Lightning adapter is included in the box (although it is not mentioned in the In The Box listing). It says you can order an additional one though...
Can't you re-order separately and then cancel the original order (it's what I did last time)?

Phew, done! Through the website on my iPad. Website on PC is still down?! Kept failing on the app on iPhone and iPad.

Used the app, popped am error a few times but eventually went ok.
Got the email right away.
Went back to the online store and it was still down at the time.

I ordered mine at 8am on the dot via the app and express pay. First time ive used it, it was so fast, the email came through straight away. The store has never come up for me.
Black 32Gb ordered almost straightaway from the website.

It doesn't mean it has been dispatched. What it actually says is: "Dispatched: Delivers on 21/9 in most areas".
I'm 11 months into my 4S contract and I'm considering buying it out to upgrade to the 5 (I'd rather be on this 2 year schedule than the 'S' updates schedule)

Whats weird is had the store open on my imac and the wifes MBA - loaded for her and not me. Still isn't loading for me too. Money has gone from my account too. Curious to see no bumpers or ANY cases offered in the accessories - not like apple to miss out on a few more ££.

To anyone having issues with using the Apple Store app, try force quitting and re-launching. In other words:
- Tap home button to get to home screen
- Double tap home button
- Hold down finger on icon for Apple Store app
- Press the red 'X' so the icon disappears
- Re-launch the app.

Alrighty, the app kept failing for me, so I tried the website...went through first time.... - got the order processing email instantly and checked the bank, looks like the funds have been taken aside! - hopefully it's worked and gone through!

In Scotland the iPhone 4 and the iPad 3 were both delayed according to an email sent. However on both occassions they sent a mail the day before appologising and they turned up on time. I assume it will be the same this time.
