UK iPhone 5 thread

site is still down for me, app worked after repeated hang ups; all seems good now, money has left the account and had my confirmation email or at least the order is being processed email, which seems a little non commital but better than nothing

glad i hooked up express payment on the app last night anyway
 
That was easy! 64gb black baby :), received confirmation email.

All done via the app, I'm STILL yet to actually see anything but store down on the website, it was just by chance I thought I'd have a go via the app!

year? Some areas seemed to be targeted for a delayed delivery to put

resources elsewhere.

I think it's just a disclaimer for what happened last time. The couriers (read TNT) were understaffed for all those iPads in some areas and even though they delivered until 9-10pm on launch day, they had to deliver some on Saturday. That made a lot of people (including me) very pissed off. :rolleyes:
 
tried about 100 times on app store with no luck.

Safari says store down.

Chrome went through first time. Got email.

Can't you re-order separately and then cancel the original order (it's what I did last time)?

Yep the listing in the apple store app is actually for an Additional lightning-30 pin adapter.

Just realised, no mention of nano-sim though - Anyone know if apple can supply o2 ones?

Ordered through T-Mobile, they picked up the phone straight away at 8am, was so easy. £41 a month for unlimited phone calls, texts and Internet, £49 for the handset. :)
 
Im pissed off... my card is declined clearly for security reasons. Never ever happened before when any Apple order.

I hope by the time its sorted it still works.

Finally got through with the iOS app. Had to turn express checkout OFF then. Back on again and it worked!

I suspect we'll have to get them from O2. I'd ring your local store on Monday if details haven't be released before that on how to get sent one and ask if they can provide you one if you turn up in person.
 
Don't worry guys, it did the same for my iPad when I ordered it with the Smart cover, it came on release despite the tracking saying it wouldn't be delivered till the following wednesday (which the cover was delivered)
 
My Credit Card flagged this as fraudulent activity. If the Apple store app isn't working i suspect this is your problem too.

Lifted the block order complete!!!

Apple Store app kept timing out. Took 30 seconds to go in and enable express checkout, and went through first time after that.

Black 64GB :D

Thanks for that. I was able to cancel the Adapter (order must have been holding for some reason) Handseet now shows as delivers 21/9. Blood pressure returning to normal now! :)
 
Now the fun of watching the iPhones gradually migrate from China to Europe to the UK begins. I presume they'll be coming direct from Foxconn?

I'll be after one too - will pop into a store over the weekend i think.
