I just ordered the black 32gb version , a few questions..

1) Is everyones order still in processing stage?

2) Will the iphone 5 be LTE compatible with EE (assuming you buy a 4g sim ony later)?

3) Have Orange stated they will be giving existing customers nano sim cards replacements?

1. Mine is
2. Yes
3. No one really knows for sure

I ordered 8AM 8:01AM ish via the App and my order is still processing.

iPhone 5 is compatible with EE apparently only offered to new connections :(

Not too sure with Orange in the same boat !

Pre ordered through t mobile just past 8 o clock and got a confirmation email immediately. Though obviously they have to do a credit check first which I may fail because I don't have a credit history. Has anyone got any experience with this?

Three data plans are up!

I'm seriously considering moving from O2 now.

From the maths I've done (not done all the options yet), three are still the only network to offer a deal that competes or beats (depending on what you want) with buying outright in terms of price over a 24 month period. Of course if you don't want both tethering and unlimited data you can do better on their 24 month sim only plans, but if you are after the one plan it is cheaper to go on contract with them.

Voda website painfully slow and no 32gb, but managed to upgrade, went 16gb Black in the the end. Ive nowhere near filled the capacity of my 32gb iPad anyway, as I mostly stream music with Spotify and use Apple TV for movies.

No delivery date though, nervous wait.....

mine also says 9/21 hope mine doesnt slip back to october too! im sure some guys said there order has gone to 'shipped' dont know if i belive that so soon.

TIP:

For those that ordered earlier and did NOT get a 9/21 delivery date.

Make sure you DO NOT HAVE any Lightning Dock connectors or USB cables added to the order.

This was extending my delivery time to 2 weeks. Once cancelled the order time will go back to 9/21 if you ordered early enough.

Hopefully this works!!

While that's true, I still prefer to buy the phone unlocked so I have the option of switching networks within the UK, and also to be able to use local SIMs when I travel abroad. Saved me a fortune in Australia last year (Telstra are excellent, by the way).

I thought processing meant that its gone through and just waiting to switch to shipping ?

From the website:
What are the different states of an order?
We've received your order:
We've received your order and will begin processing it soon! You can modify your order details once the order enters the processing status.
Processing Items:
We are processing your order now. You can modify your order details through online Order Status, or by contacting Apple Online Store Customer Service.
Preparing for Shipment:
We are preparing your item(s) to dispatch. While your order is being prepared, we are unable to modify your order details. We will email you a Dispatch Notification with complete order details once your order leaves our warehouse.
Shipped:
Your order has now dispatched! You will be able to see the track shipment button in 24 hours on Orders page. For items that merge in transit, we are unable to provide tracking info for up to 48 hrs. For postal orders, we are unable to provide tracking info.

So, I think you are correct.

I've got 2 separate orders (with 2 different Apple ID's)

1 went through at 8.14am, and it showing as Processing

The other went through at 8.31am, and is still showing as 'We've received your order'

Worried the dates may slip now - any one else not yet at 'Processing'?

I think most of the UK networks will unlock a contract phone for you at any point, they might even be required to by law. They won't let you out of the contract though, so you have to keep paying them, but it does mean you can use it abroad.

I agree with you though. Went contract free with my 4, and don't see myself ever going back to a contract. Even with Three's prices the freedom is worth it (I expect to switch to EE when they start up here, some time in the next few months, and then possibly to Three once they start using the 1800MHz bands EE was told to sell them).

Thanks for the reply, are u sure EE is for new connections? Im pretty sure I read somewhere that existing customers can migrate to EE and start a new term for a fee.

I'll be hoping that is the case with my existing contract, I need a nano sim though from Orange so would be good if anyone has any news on this!

I wonder if this is what caused the delay to my order. Is there a way to remove an individual item from an order when it's processing?

Thanks for that fxit. Mine has now changed to 21/9 now that I removed the adapter. It did say two weeks before. Friday here I come

Yes you will be able to migrate over for a fee or upgraded data plan for 4G. It says this on all three websites.

Tried asking Vodafone for a nano sim to replace my micro sim.

They had no information on it, unsurprisingly!

Anyone had any luck with Voda?

t-mobile nano sim

For anyone whos with t-mobile and looking to swap your micro-sim to nano-sim, i just rang them (was on hold for about 20 minutes) and told them i need the nano-sim as ive ordered from apple and they took down my account details and address and told me someone will call within 24 hours to confirm I have the nano-sim coming.
