Since you asked.... :)

Cologne to London seems to be operated by a 767-300F with about 53,000 kg cargo capacity, burning 4300 kg of jet fuel an hour.

this forum is going to become one of those irrelevant places people decide on their careers, i'm already getting psyched about aviation :D

Just changed my free gift message to Hurry up APPLE or moving to android. lol
Maybe my order be dispatched quicker lol

Looks like no more movement tonight :( all the orders that shipped yesterday were added to UPS at around 10:00am yesterday so hopefully all ours that are preparing since yesterday will ship tomorrow! Guys that had their phones shipped yesterday any chance i can see a screenshot of your tracking info?

I think it could change later tonight or early hours tomorrow and catch up with the others in Cologne as people reckon they are gonna be stuck in Germany for a day. I think only the first batch could use their apple order number starting with W to track on UPS's website and i think only first batch will show tracking info from china, i think our tracking data will say the origin was the midlands (all my previous iPhones origins were midlands). And a UPS plane is landing at East Midland in about 2 hours ;) hopefully thats ours! :D

I guess we will just have to wait and see. In any case at least its showing as preparing for dispatch/shipment so there has been some movement and with any luck they will be delivered by the end of the week.

Does Preparing for shipment means our phones have been built? But just not shipped, and according to UPS no shipping label yet. But tbh we have no clue really what they are doing so we could be pleasantly surprised but I'm definitely looking forward to this week :D

Have any of you considered buying one at your local Apple store, even if its not what you want? For example, I've got a 64 GB space grey right now....which I don't want/afford. I want a 16gb silver or gold.

I'm just waiting until 12 days time until either my online order arrives or that one gets in the store - they said I can take it back within 14 days for a full refund (just gotta be careful I don't drop it)....am I missing something? Seems too easy for me...

Why though?

Can't you just wait a few days?
It's also deceitful given that they have to then sell the phone you return as a reconditioned model.

You can definitely return it with no problem
Will return iPhone 5c when I get iPhone 5S from HK as I sold my iPhone 5 on 20/09 and need something these days.

Hey guys, thought I would get involved as I go through this every year!

Received my email at 00:26 on 20/09/13 for my 16gb space grey and at some point today it went to Preparing For Dispatch....anyone else reckon people in this situation will get an update Monday and avoid the dreaded Chinese holiday....

Debate thought......why did the English invent 1 day bank holidays the Chinese 7 day holiday appeals much more to me!!

Nice!

Just a quick question. I don't want to start any new thread.

Do I need to enter a 4-digit pin number of debit card when I buy a product at Apple store. I'm new to UK. Just got a debit cared but not yet the pin. I will go checking at an apple store if they have one in stock. Really wanna get a phone cuz I have no phone to use for weeks. cheers. :)

Pin code is for offline payments only (high street shops, ATM)

Yes. You will need your pin.

There is a separate thread that discusses the very same thing. Settling for a colour/model you didn't want to get it earlier. There seems to be a number of people who did settle. Personally I want the white/silver 64GB and won't settle for any other model. Luckily mine should be shipping soon anyway.

Yes, you will require your pin. On rare occasions, you get asked to sign for things, but that's only when something goes wrong e.g. chip cannot be read.

You can use it online without the pin, but not in store.

As far as I'm ware they are ready go but are in the process of Apple getting them ready to ship and hand over to the courier in this case UPS.

there ya go!

I also only see arrival. However it may be that the entire shipment gets tracked as one (which is why we all see the same times on our tracking so far) and then has to get broken up and put through customs separately.
