UK iPhone 5s and 5c Thread

Does anyone know what model of plane ups uses for the shorter European flights? I can't wait to find out what sort of engines it has and calculate my iPhone's fuel efficiency...

Ps it's like the whole forum has done this!

Ive hit a bit of a problem, when someone said CPW where sending out orders i placed one for a sim free iphone 5S hoping it would arrive on monday, but i didn't cancel my online order (just incase). However today i received an email from CPW to say i failed a security check? For an off contract phone, oh well i thought i still have the apple order, but i noticed that CPW had made a payment authorisation for £589 and i rang them up and they said it would be released some time tomorrow, or i could ring up tomorrow and they would release it immediately. So now if apple ship there orders out tonight i will not have enough in my bank to allow them to take the payment, i feel snookered really:(

My airplane mode is broken like every other 32GB/64GB gold buyer :(

Hopefully Apple will fix this so I can talk about planes too!
 
I ordered at 0:16 if that helps? I honestly think anyone who ordered within 30min will ship by monday night at the latest, although i doubt gold 32 and 64 will
 
Ordered a 32Gb iPhone 5s in Gold on launch day. Received order confirmation at 00.42 and I don't mind waiting though I do refresh a few times a day. At the processing stage though :)

Mine doesn't work even though it has gone to preparing for dispatch as of yesterday around 12pm to 1pm. I'm pretty sure it has to actually be shipped/dispatched before the tracking information will work on UPS' site.

Speaking of which mine is still stuck at preparing for dispatch/shipping. Hopefully it will change to shipped sometime tomorrow.

I read in some thread about someone called to see if their order would ship out tomorrow... I'll just copy it.

"I called to check my order status and they told me my order for a 16gb gold iphone from AT&T won't ship out until Friday the 10th day"

Anyone from here wanna do that for their Gold 32/64 GB?
I can't do it for various reasons, like my iPhone 4 is kind of broken and more..

Customer services will honestly not have a clue when it will be sent.

I thought so too but thought they might have got some information since what the quote said.. But I'm guessing if they had a clue it would not be a clue including UK as it has shown previously about this launch..
 
There must be someone, or indeed a group of people, at Apple whose job is coordinating all these shipments and stock movements all the way to home deliveries.

I wonder if they ever have a look at forums and threads like this and have a little chuckle..?!!!

I think it could change later tonight or early hours tomorrow and catch up with the others in Cologne as people reckon they are gonna be stuck in Germany for a day. I think only the first batch could use their apple order number starting with W to track on UPS's website and i think only first batch will show tracking info from china, i think our tracking data will say the origin was the midlands (all my previous iPhones origins were midlands). And a UPS plane is landing at East Midland in about 2 hours ;) hopefully thats ours! :D
 
My gold 16gb is still processing.. Anybody know when it will change to "preparing for dispatch" as my delivery estimate is "October"

Since you asked.... :)

Cologne to London seems to be operated by a 767-300F with about 53,000 kg cargo capacity, burning 4300 kg of jet fuel an hour.
