Am sure the first orders for the higher capacity in gold will start preparing too very soon bearing in mind we are less than 2 days from the estimated dispatch date.
I mentioned this a while ago. UPS provide next day services in Europe for which planes from all over Europe converge at Cologne every night. They then sort all the packages and send them back between about 2am and 4am, so the next flight will probably be around 2am tonight, arriving in the UK by about 4am and moved around the country in time for being out for delivery around 8am.
I believe this is the case for everyone who doesn't live in Northern Ireland.
Checking my status so often I get nausa.. And 3 minutes ago I got so happy until I realised I hallucinated that mine also was preparing for shipment. I probably should lay off checking it.. Just one more time.. And another..
Come on... I'm off work to tomorrow so in gonna get drunk with a friend now. Next time I come back here please be 3 pages longer with the rest being dispatched!

Finally bit the bullet and ordered a Gold 16gb 5s
First time I actually got to play with one today in the Apple store and much preferred the gold, especially the accent around the home button. Funnily enough I really liked the 5c's for some reason, although they are quite slippery in the hands (especially my clammy hands lol). I am coming from a Samsung Note 2 and fancy going back to something smaller that I can easily use with one hand. I haven't decided what to do with the Note 2 yet as I really like the phone still.
Anyway, something to get excited about until the new iPad 5 comes out, as my iPad 3 is getting laggy in its old age

I can only share the information that I have access to, I hope you understand my position. Again though, I'd advice to feel content with your current delivery estimates as no third party time off or holidays will affect this.

Certainly did...the good news is that I had the same thing last year with the iPhone 5....trust me be thankful as with the iPhone 4S apple are not using TNT they were terrible!

I bet if you phoned them they would convince you they had a great offer on some android handset which you should go for because its basically the same. Used to get it all the time before I bought handsets outright.
So that recent departure scan was literally an hour ago from shenzen.....hmmmm I reckon it's just a let upload scan, happens all the time....to be honest though it's only like 40 mins between HK and shenzen, I'm betting on the 13:45 UPS flight out of HK tomorrow
Yes, you can buy outright from CPW, but a couple of things to be aware of:
- Some people are finding CPW are reluctant to let their stock go to non-contract sales, as they won't get as much money compared to selling it on-contract
- Costs are the same as Apple, though over the last week CPW have been getting greedy and sometimes adding £50 on for some models, then taking it off the next day. Don't pay more than the Apple price
- Although CPW iPhones will say they're SIM unlocked, this is true until you insert a SIM for the first time, at which point they'll lock to that network. Apple-supplied iPhones, on the other hand, are genuinely SIM-free - you can swap SIMs as much as you want.

For those who are preparing for shipping, shipped or even stuck at processing here is the info you need to track your oder or see if its on it's way.
Visit http://www.ups.com/tracking/tracking.html and in the 'Track by Reference' enter your apple order ID. It starts with a W. Mine showed tracking info while apple showed it as "Processing". Note, this happens just before it changes to preparing for shipping.
Once it's shipped you can find your serial number on the Apple support site.

I reacon our phones in Cologne are part of the same batch which will goto the stores in the morning. So if our packages move past 'Import Scan' tonight then you will get some stock in the shops.
I think your online order will be with you by the end of the week. They seem to be producing them in batches. The golds are starting to move now and the whites must be next.
