UK iPhone 5s and 5c Thread

All of what you said there matches with my tracking except for some reason I haven't got a departure scan from Anchorage.
 
I went several times to the Apple Store of Regent Street, but they don't have any iPhone 5S in stock :( I also checked in Covent Garden and Stratford, but always the same story.

I don't know what to do, because franfly I don't wanna keep calling the Apple Store just to hear things like 'maybe tomorrow, maybe tuesday' etc, only to find out that nothing's really arrived.

The problem is that I have reason to believe that this will be the state of things for like the next 1-2 months. Maybe I'll get better possibility if I buy it online?
 
My gold 64 has just arrived in hong kong.. next stop dubai or germany?

As I said before a bank holiday does not ground planes in Germany, and as with the Chinese bank holidays I am right again (Jesus, being right is getting boring now;-) ) Our iPhones left the efficient republic of Germany on bank holiday Thursday.
d123 is suddenly fairly quiet on this thread, probably finding it hard to speak whilst munching humble pie....

Hmmm our phones still left the country on the bank holiday, so be careful with advertised opening hours, they might just affect offices and customer services, the actual transport of goods might just carry on as normal. Global economy is a complicated business.

I'm with you on this. I imagine their air hub operates as normal while local collections and deliveries and offices/cs as you said are suspended/closed.

I felt like you did after numerous early mornings outside the apple store with no stock arriving. 1-2 months at least is what I'd say too, especially with Christmas coming. Loss like most phones made this week are going to online preorders so stores are bone dry.

3 other realistic options:

1. Get lucky at a Three or Carphonewarehouse store with stock and them willing to sell. Then unlock via 3 (see below).

2. Buy from Three online ( http://store.three.co.uk/view/product/ql_catalog/threecatdevice/2663). They have silver/grey 32 & 64 available for next day. Use the tick box to change model then press the + sign on the right next to pay as you go to buy. Must also buy a £10 sim but its usable credit at least. Then if you want it unlocked, go to three.co.UK/unlock and fill in the form. Should take 2 days max and costs £15.32.

3. Buy from car phone warehouse. Some models have a £50 premium when you pay.

Again supposed to deliver next day if in stock or have it delivered to store. Will be Sim free until you insert the first sim card then it locks to that network. If you want to unlock then again use a 3 SIM and use same 3 unlock link above.

I've done the early bird queuing and got nowhere. Each time cost me £10 in fuel, parking and breakfast! Tried CPW who lost my online order last week and refused to sell in any stores. Tried Three stores who also refused to sell. A few on here have been successful in stores though, and many via CPW online. Now finally got a DPD text confirming delivery today after ordering from Three online yesterday (32gb silver). Then I'll unlock it and the ordeal will be over!
 
Mine has left Stansted after arriving in Cologne yesterday on the HK > Alaska > Germany route!

Due tomorrow but maybe today?

Glad we were both on the same page mate....in fact my phone is now at my local depot RESULT!!!

Hard to say, if they even come via cologne. Mine left hong kong at 12:01 local time, so i assume they made the dubai flight at 11:40 (4:40 uk time).. It takes about 12 hours from hong kong to cologne,germany..

Just wondering if there'd be any chance we get them tomorrow. Been waiting since march for this phone to come out, stuck using an iphone 4 with broken lock button and dodgy home button. It's so frustrating to use. Haha

Edit: we're on the same flight too!
