My 64gb silver that was supposed to be delivered tomorrow arrived today :)

Went from an import scan in cologne straight to out for delivery from dartford! And it was delivered less than half an hour before I had to go out, which was pretty convenient! Lol.

As for the gyroscope thingy, I wouldn't have thought to check it because I don't play games that would use it, but I checked it on a surface I'm fairly confident is level and it appears to be fine.

Seems like our flight to Cologne ( UX3 UPS3 ) Is running early and should be there at 22:08 (21:08 GMT). There may be a chance that the phones then go directly onto the flight to Stansted...

Glorious news this is. I have this mental image of the phones being like "quick guys we've gotta get to Britain as fast as we can" and then jumping onto the plane.... Oh god I'm cracking up...

........ I'm exactly the same. I'm glued to the Live flight screen haha....

The package was missed at the UPS facility, UPS will deliver on the next business day.

WTH is this?

I seem to recall that some did, or maybe it was the ones that went to NI via there ( presumably on commercial flights). Equally, some were driven to Scotland via East Midlands/Castle Donnington. Check back to around page 170-190 which is when I think the excitement built!

Couldn't see any flights to/from Edinburgh. Thanks anyway.

When did your phone arrive in Cologne, please?

It's most likely that the driver ran out of time.

It's not that uncommon, as I've said a number of times in this thread, the way Couriers work is that they schedule their routes around business pick-ups and then deliver goods on route, because thats how they make their money.

The delivery agreement Apple has with UPS, while pretty quick isn't for a guaranteed time delivery, which would be far more expensive. If it was, then it would cost considerably more and they would have to deliver to you on a certain day. As this isn't a massive priority though, they simply ran out of time.

The import scan was 4.24am yesterday. Then there were no other updates until something past 6 this morning, when it was scanned as out for delivery :)

So there were no scans to say it actually arrived in cologne, just the import scan, and no scans to say it left Germany, and no scans to say it arrived in the uk!

Nice surprise :)

when i ordered the gold 64 GB from CPW it showed "expected delivery by 9th october" on their main website. it changed and now it says expected 16th october. does this also apply to me or just people who are ordering it from now onwards?

Hmm interesting. Cheers

I ordered my 5s 64Gb Gold from CPW on 24th with delivery on 4th Oct. Had a text message from them today and was excited until I read the content that read.
"Due to unexpected widespread stock issues at Apple we will not be able to deliver your iPhone 5s on Friday as expected. We will be in touch to confirm your delivery date as soon as your iPhone 5s is available. We are really sorry for the delay and have added a £15 in store credit to apologise."

Knew I should have ordered the grey one

So the wait continues :(

i'm getting so fed up with all this waiting, I might just start popping in to the manchester stores next week. do they get deliveries on saturday by the way? and does anyone know if i can check whether a CPW store has stock online? thanks :)

Got the same note myself, though I ordered on the 23rd, with the website showing delivers 30/9. But, to be fair the folk who ordered direct from Apple at 00:05 on the 20th are only just starting to get their Gold 64s !

Looks fairly clear to me that Apple have either underestimated the demand (and I don't quite believe that) or had a load of production go down between announcing the launch date and starting to fulfill orders...they are now redirecting stock from bulk sellers to their own customers, probably giving those bulk sellers some sort of rebate (at least £15 a phone I'd suggest).

I think this might also start to explain some of the wacky routings and re-scans that are turning up in the tracking data, as pallets are split up or redirected.

Having read that back to myself I now realise the whole thing has sent me barking mad and I'm now off to get a life.

Just writing to share in the impatience and disappointment of everyone here who's still waiting for their iPhone 5s.

After being disappointed by my local O2 store where I queued for opening on 20th Sept (no allocation of Gold 64Gb), I ordered direct from Apple as soon as I got to a PC at 10am on 20th.

Delivery: October, and my order is still showing that status. Of course no-one here knows when these 'October' orders will come, but now we're in October, it seems like a very long time till November

Still, hanging on. There's nothing wrong with my iPhone 5...

Ordered my 16gb grey 5s from Apple on Tuesday evening, when am I realistically looking at for delivery? :(

The majority of people chatting here are those ordered 20/09 and got their phones soar in the sky...I ordered mine on 25th, no movement from Processing yet....

Well if it's any consolation, when it finally comes, you will definitely be more pleased with your 5s than those of us who already have the 5 just now.

Don't think it'll be too much longer for you guys, most of the 7-10 day batches seem to have gone out, so maybe a week or so more.

Surely it won't make any difference though? Unless you mean they arrive tonight and go out for delivery tomorrow morning?

Perhaps, it's certainly a possibility as they might want to shift the next lot as quickly as possible in order to prevent backlog. If that is the case, it means that people who live near Stansted might be getting theirs on Friday. I guess we'll find out tomorrow,

YAY! Eastleigh depot is only 2 hours away! Maybe that means I may be getting mine tomorrow!

The Cologne plane is almost there lol.
