No, all iphones bought sim free from Apple are unlocked for life :apple:

Will we given a specific time that our phones will arrive tomorrow when it leaves the depot? Some companies give you a couple of hours period when the delivery will be, but I am not sure about UPS? :apple:

I've been watching eBay quite a lot for the 5s. The average selling prices are definitely going down. I won a silver 64gb for £650 the other day (fingers crossed the seller won't magically 'lose' it). A silver 16gb went for £500 and a couple more 64gb sold for £640 this eve...so hopefully the scalpers will give up soon as the phones are going for well below the RRP now, so hopefully people will have more luck with stock in the Apple shops.

Problem is only the amateur scalpers sell on eBay.
Those highly organized groups are probably exporting them in batches to countries where the 5s is not even available.

Hi guys hopefully as our packages are at CD we will get them tomorrow, don't know if I will get it tomorrow as I live in Scotland but if it was to come my delivery time is usually 5pm. Enjoy them when you get them folks!

Is anyone having the gyro problem with their shiny new 5s? If you do is it bothering you?

I've baught an iphone that's locked to orange from someone else's contract and heard it can only be unlocked after 6 months

Does anyone know if I can use a paug SIM card and unlock the phone after 6 months even though it was on someone else's contract?

Cheers

You should be OK as long as the original owner doesn't mess about with their account (pays their bills, doesn't default on the contract etc).

I can only think of one where Orange refused the unlock (in that case the contract holder didn't pay a single bill after getting the phone).

Why should we? How many other consumer devices would you pay for and have no real idea when it's going to turn up? It's shoddy behavior from Apple to not make the constraints clear.

Didn't you voluntarily place your order when the dispatch date said "October"?

If you didn't want to be in a position of paying and having no real idea of when it's going to turn up why did you place the order with such an open dispatch date?

From http://store.apple.com/uk/help/payments

When you place an order, Apple will contact your credit or debit card's issuing bank to confirm it is a valid account. Apple requests an authorisation, which holds the funds for the full or partial purchase amount. As Apple prepares your items, authorized funds will be unavailable and may display as "pending" on your credit or debit card's online statement.

If you are shipping an item, your card will only be charged after the item has shipped.

Processing Items

Ordered on 20 September around 11am 64gb gold

status still says "Processing Items" :(

Who's 64gb golds have been posted?

What date is the UPS tracker giving you? I live in Edinburgh and mine is being quoted to be delivered by end of day tomorrow. Am ignoring what Apple states as they still have the phone as being in Shenzhen with delivery on 9 October  I figure as UPS have my phone I'll go by what they say!

Ive just had a castle donnington departure scan at 20:20, so most likely looking at delivery tomorrow

UPS236 just about to touch down at Stanstead, I wonder who's going to be the lucky ones on this flight? :)

Mine hasnt yet, and last time I looked Northampton seemed closer to CD than Tamworth, hmmmm

I think it just depends on which trucks leave the depot first, it might even be the ones who have to travel further leave first.
