This just gets more infuriating the more I look at it.

I think I'd rather have it on Processing, rather than have them lie that it's being prepared for dispatch.

Ring them, you've left it long enough now!

This is worrying considering the amount of 20th Sept orders that haven't shipped

This makes me unhappy as my 64GB Gold wasn't ordered until 15:15 on the 20th
I was hoping that all the morning orders had been shipped by now.
I'm in the same boat. My gold arrived dinged and scratched and I phoned to see what options I had. Was told by the agent that the replacement should be out in 'about 5 days'. I didn't question him about it, but he was quite clear that when they received the current one back to the distribution centre the replacement would be dispatched. Currently my online 'replacement' order through Apple site is showing delivery of 18 - 20 Oct, but I did get a call this morning from UPS saying they would pick my old one up tomorrow.
Has the money actually left your account? If so, try phoning them and saying either they give you a tracking number or you report them to your credit card/bank as a fraudulent transaction.
So has mine. What in the?!![]()
I can't believe it!It obviously never was being prepared for dispatch.... Shocking.
Agreed. Even though I ordered a lot later than you, and therefore am probably less annoyed, setting 'Preparing for Dispatch' and then reverting it to 'Processing Items' is taking the pi**.
I'll be making a call about this as I don't think it's on to get my hopes up like that and then dash them.![]()
Get real mate, how is this in any way fraud - seriously a childish threat. If the money has been taken you could raising a dispute as "goods not received" but this isnt. Fraud. Also i doubt they have taken the money but may have taken an authorisation on your account - after this long it should have dropped off though.
Lying about the status of an order is fraud. If they say it was "dispatched" on the website but refuse to give any information then what else are you expected to do? I'm not a lawyer but I don't think the law says "good guy companies are exempt if they're only lying to keep the number of orders high and fuel their hype machine".
Its not fraud as far as banks are concernsd. Fraud relates to transactions "neither made nor authorised". Dishonest yes, grounds for disputes yes, fraud jo
See my edited post above; the point is not the semantics of "fraud", but the process of using the card company to cancel the order and refund the money if Apple refuse to do it themselves if they simultaneously claim the order cannot be cancelled because it is dispatched, but no tracking information is available because it isn't dispatched.
