"Track by reference" on the UPS site (as described earlier in the thread) shows that I've got a shipping label created: there wasn't one last night. Fingers crossed, but this looks like it is real movement this time. Good luck all!

alFR, what Shipment Type did you chose when you track by reference? Simply 'Package' ?

Thx:)

I will check out O2 and Three store tomorrow
(I should clarify, I am on O2, but looking to move to 3, as its payg is so much cheaper)

Good luck! Hope you find one.

I moved from O2 to 3 very recently too. I moved to their 30-day rolling plan, from an O2 30-day rolling plan. I'm now on Three's "The One Plan". I'm paying £1.50 more for all of these benefits:

- An infinite increase in data usage (from 500mb, to truly unlimited)
- 1900 more minutes
- Tethering

Tethering included, no minimum term, no fair data usage limits, pretty much unlimited calls/texts. £18/month, or £15/month if you sign up for 12 months.

No other carriers offer anything remotely similar for this price. I am not going to sign myself up for 12 months just in case I notice any throttling, or poor signal, but I'm now 2 months in – so far, so good. Getting through about 3gb/month data, and it's generally pretty quick. I'm sure other carriers are faster, but not enough to justify a doubled or tripled price tag. Personal opinion, of course.

Edit: You do lose visual voicemail! Bit strange that only EE and O2 offer this?!

Yeah. No space in the post code either, not sure if that makes a difference though. Make sure to use the delivery postcode not the billing one (if they're different).

Haha, tried it, nothing happened, my phone will not be in same plane of yours!!!:eek:

Do you know if building penetration will get any better with the new 4G frequencies?
I tried out a PAYG sim and whilst it was really fast when I could get a signal, I was unable to get much of a signal inside buildings.

Three will often give you a weaker signal but you still get better speeds than any other network.

Signal strength is meaningless, performance is what matters.

I too made the move to Three's One Plan, in my case from Vodafone, saving 50p per month and gaining 1400 minutes and all the data I can eat!

Data chugs a bit when the city centre's crowded, but it's a massive improvement over Vodafone, who regularly showed 5 bars with zero data being received.

Three also provided a femtocell, their Home Signal box, free of charge (Vodafone will sell you a Suresignal) because the inside of my flat is an all-network black spot.

I'm on O2 legacy tariff and looking to go to Three on the same deal as you. I've been trying Three on a PAYG sim and had no problems. I travel a lot of the train and O2's signal would cut out or reconnect without 3G whereas Three would occasionally lose signal but reconnect quickly (of course to 3G as well). My only concerns with Three is that several people have said Three struggles with signals inside some of London's buildings and I've yet to test this myself as I have been working in the Midlands recently.

I bought the iPhone 5S from Carphone Warehouse and I put my O2 sim card in first so it locked to O2. The O2 website says they will unlock it but they are refusing (even with a charge). Frustrating as I would've put my Three sim in first if I had known. I wanted to try O2's 4G but it's a 12 month minimum plus they've p!ssed me off now so will now look to move networks.

Not necessarily, there's sometimes (often?) a lag in how the tracking updates. I'd be surprised if most of the batch going out today weren't in the same shipment.

Theoretically the frequencies that Vodafone/O2/Three are going to use should penetrate better into buildings (and have a slightly longer range) than those EE use, yes. Whether that makes a practical difference or not depends on how close you are to the tower etc. I'd imagine. I think there is a lower theoretical max speed for those frequencies which is the tradeoff for better penetration/range.

I can confirm this. I also never got much better out on the street, i had full signal but i never got over 1Mbps download speeds in an Ultrafast area.

I complained for months (Nov '12-Jun '13) and was fobbed off every month with another date when the congestion would be fixed.

I got fed up with waiting and started using my O2 sim again, more reliable but not the best but better for me then Three ever was.

there is an UPS plane landing in hong kong in about 30 mins. think its that one that will collect our iphones? UPS2 plane

One thing I have noticed with Three is that at home, even though the signal is only one bar in my living room, it is extremely stable, and almost never drops out. Previously when I was with O2 and then EE, it would flip every few minutes between three/four bars and No Service, with nothing in between.

Another thing which is welcome is that moving from 4S to 5S, it seems the 5S has a better antenna or cellular radio for whatever band Three are using. With one bar showing on the 4S, I have three bars on the 5S.

Are you being serious! Ordered 21st, had one of the worst order services and still just have dispatched 'October'.
