UK iPhone 5s and 5c Thread

UPS claims that our phones have departed HK in the morning, so they must be in the sky somewhere!
 
Just logged back in quickly(!). The phones departed before the holiday so they are somewhere but not in Hong Kong I would say.
 
UPS has not updated for many of us it would seem and we dont actually know where the phones are at the moment!
 
Just a quick notice to those of you who got a different order number when apple sent out their dispatch/delivery emails on Friday. Just got off the phone from apple and they told me that there was a glitch in the system where they were sending out emails with different order numbers to people so possibly might not be ours. So when entering on the UPS site beware it might not be your order at all, especially as in my case it was giving me a different destination for my phone altogether too!
 
So in summary:

Apple's Order Status Services are unavailable.
Their is currently a national holiday in Hong Kong (14 Oct.)
Eid festival in Saudia Arabia on the 15 Oct.
Our phones departed in the early morning in HK, cannot find what flight they are on.
No arrival scan on the UPS site in 12 hours.

Thanks for that roboclaw..did they say which of the numbers is the correct one to use for tracking?

That summary makes me sad :( I hope they land somewhere soon!

No problem. No they weren't able to help much as they said their system would be down until 3pm so they couldn't even check my order numbers. I was told to ring back after then. If I get anymore info I'll post it here.

UPS know all this. They will have taken it into account when giving delivery estimates. Relax, our phones will be here on Wednesday (or Tuesday if we're lucky).
 
I'm not a sure what to be believe on my communication about dispatch for my 32Gb gold ordered on 24th Sep....

Email from Apple states, delivers 21st Oct

Click track on email says 4th Nov
Click the track delivery in email says 16th Oct delivery

Via Apple store app track says 16th Oct

Typing in UPS number from Apple tracking on the UPS website says 16th Oct.

So I've got a few dates there, hoping it's the 16th but unsure. If so great I'm off on 16th, so will have to get my 5 prepped for selling!

It will most probably be 16th because thats what UPS estimate is and they are usually correct.

Just talked to the Apple chat specialist and she says that the courier do not work weekends so that's why my iPhone has not had a Scan for 12 hours..

Yes, and going by the last batch, there's a slim chance it will be a day either side as a few got delivered sooner and a few didn't get on the van or the van ran out of time for delivery that day.
 
To the guys whose phones have departed Hong Kong but have had no update since: do not panic, I think I have an explanation.

Below is the tracking for my original iphone that arrived on Monday and the tracking for my replacement which is to arrive this Monday.

As you can see the first phone left Hong Kong and had a scan at Dubai before reaching Germany. The second left Hong Kong and skipped the Dubai step. So either the second didn't land in Dubai or did and didn't get scanned.

I reckon your phones might follow a similar pattern.

The UPS facilities in Cologne and Dubai are closed on Sundays (today) so don't expect to see any movement today but tomorrow.

hey guys...i think that its unnecessary panicking all this with the UPS...your phone is on its way you must feel lucky, and me including other people we are at processing still.....order 22 september iphone 5s gold 16gb :mad:
