Many thanks for that , & to all who are answering these questions for me.

Yup you've guessed it , another question.

As previously mentioned , I'm working Monday but off Tue & Wed. My wife has informed me that as half term she is out & about with daughter on Monday. Now I find this very selfish of her & how dare she leave the house & have this type of free time ##

Anyway , if it is Monday & I can get no one here to sign & my wife isn't here , what actually happens ? Do UPS take it to Royal Mail sorting office in the town you live in , or do you have to ring UPS on number doubtless on a card they leave , & arrange another delivery date. If that's the case , is it fairly soon after or do you have to wait days again ?

Cheers for all help.

If UPS attempt delivery on Monday and it is undeliverable it will return to the local depot and a UPS InfoNotice will be left. The default action is them attempting another delivery the next working day. If this fails they make one more attempt. So three attempts in total as Anya said.

Alternatively you can choose to self collect from the depot, deliver on a different day, deliver to an alternate address or authorise UPS to leave shipment as you ask on the InfoNotice.

Note that Apple do not allow the customer to change the delivery options before a first attempt has been made for security reasons.

UPS will not deliver to Royal Mail sorting office.

Preparing for shipment

Hi All,

Been following this thread for a while... thought I'd contribute my info

Ordered on Apple UK for 16G Gold 5S on 9th October

Est. 24-28 Oct dispatch, 4 Nov Delivery

Just changed from Processing Items to Preparing for Shipment:cool:

Been living without a phone for a month or so....as my IP4 stopped working

What made things worse was that I'm a student and I'm having a lot of phone interviews these days for job apps!! My temp phone is just not working that well (lots of noise/bad reception in buildings)

Hopefully I can get my hands on it by next week!!

Very strange, they should have departed dubai by now, maybe ups tracking system being slack.

Fingers crossed! Maybe it'll update on Monday saying my phone's been delivered... but I'm not too hopeful. I keep checking the local time in China! As it's nearly midnight there I assume we'll hear nothing for at least 5 hours.

I am guessing that If they haven't left china by now, then the earliest delivery will be Wednesday this is provided they leave china by this time tomorrow.

I think the storm may play a role here! Could be delays because of that?

My replacement gold 16gb dispatched today too (1st iphone was 'lost' my ups when it was out for delivery) it's by standard shipping :/ apple told be it would be the fastest one but it's the same as last time, also asked apple to send it via TNT (lost trust with ups) but doesn't seem apple hasn't done what they said :/ still, replacement was ordered Thursday and dispatched today is very fast, ups last time did get it out for delivery just 2 days after the dispatch so I guess it will be much sooner then the 4th November. Just hope ups gets it to me this time ordered 21/09/13

ADDED: I notice that the weight is different this time, last time the weight said 0.5kg and this time it's 0.4kg just wondering if anyone would know why??

They may have sent you the 5T? S stands for small and T stands for tiny! ;)

Just changed to dispatched within the last 15 minutes, although haven't had an email confirming yet! :D

Yes, me too, According to my previous experience (dispatched on Friday, delivered the next Monday), hopefully, we will get the phone by Tuesday.:D

Still no movement :0 last update was:

ZhengZhou, China 26/10/2013 20:23 Arrival Scan

Doesn't seem right :/

I think it just means they have several stations in ZhengZhou.

People who have had 5s's dispatched from china over the past weeks, were dispatches always on friday and saturday or throughout the week?

1st phone was dispatched on Monday, this iphone was dispatched Saturday

Btw the phone has departed china!!!

Next UPS flight out of Incheon is 22.31 to Anchorage, 13.31 our time. That's more than likely our plane! :D

Hi.. waiting for my replacement phone.. this time it takes ages.. my first phone left factory on Saturday 12/10 - delivered to me on Monday, 14/10 (London).. different route as well from Chek Lap Kok Hong Kong to Dubai to Koeln/Germany and then Stanstead airport.. moving fast and within 2 days my phone was in the UK..

Our phone could be already on the plane which left Incheon at 21.50 .. scans are sometimes updated late by UPS..

Anyway, I hope that my new phone will work the way it should.. good luck)

I did notice that the Dubai Germany route was quick, didn't help that our phones sat in china all weekend! Hopefully they'll be with us by Wednesday which works out good for me as I've got 2 days off work after today. Hope your replacement works properly, good luck :)

So if it gets that flight is it likely to be in the UK tomorrow? My arrival date is still 4th November, and I've not yet been charged.

Still can't get a 5S. Checked into my local :apple: store again today and it's still out of stock.
