CPWH now saying Silver 5S will be delivered on 4th October earliest with the Gold ones. Only grey left. :(
 
I ordered a sim free 64gb grey from CPW too, a few hours ago. I actually selected collect from store, allow two working days. Meaning Monday or Tuesday.

I've got the "order processing" email from CPW, but nothing more. Skeptical anything will happen, if it does, great. If it doesn't, then I can just wait for my Apple order.
 
Managed to order the last 64GB Silver 5S from Carphone Waehouse before deliveries slipped...

Had a problem with my card so called them, they re-processed my order and made sure I had the original stock it had ring fenced.

They called me back now to confirm it's been picked and ready for delivery tomorrow!

Great stuff and if I knew, I wouldn't have bothered at Arndale this morning!!
 
To stop scalpers it's a case of no cash and proof of id so the name on the card matches the owner. Will stop them passing cards around or using stolen ones.

Good news is, there not getting the crazy prices on ebay. Been watching a few and they arnt going for over £100 more than the asking price. Hardly seems worth the effort and expense they have gone through. The benefit of being so many scalpers is the market is now flooded and the prices arnt what they hoped for.

I rang them again and have got my tracking number for delivery tomorrow! :D

Free Saturday delivery takes the sting out of the £40 premium a little I suppose. :rolleyes:

I also did a collect from store about an hour ago - just got my dispatch notification email and txt as well as a DPD tracking number (which says next day delivery) so im hoping it will be available to collect tomorrow :D

edit: I should add that this was the Black 32GB model

I just got the 'processing' email from CPWH. Not expecting it to ship today as it's stating 'pre-order' on their website.

Ironically it states 'silver - october 4th' on the 16gb, but not the 32gb.

How quickly did you move from processing to any activity? Seems possibly a little strange that there's been zero activity on mine since 1145. I'll ring them I think, but not sure if ringing them will instigate them saying "sorry, we can't be selling these yet" and cancel. Whereas if I keep schtum it might slip through.

Wanted to collect from store as there's no one in tomorrow or any day next week.

Did you order online or on the phone?

I ordered on the phone and as I was speaking to them, my credit card's fraud line were trying to get hold of me.. rang that back and they were checking it was genuine, told me I might want to contact the seller to confirm it's okay..

I ordered online, my bank called me after so I called CPW straight away to sort it knowing it could get cancelled!

I card company has a tendency to block any large transactions, so CPWH payment is near certainly going to get blocked until I call and approve it with my bank.

Hoping they don't just automatically cancel my order.

I havent had anything apart from the original order e-mail - I rung them the first time as I had a fraud call from my CC and then the second time to make sure they werent BS'ing me which is when I got the DPD tracking number.
 
Excellent. Rang CPW re: my sim free 64gb 5S should be available to collect from store tomorrow :)

Payment has been taken from my account, rock and roll!

Not cancelling my Apple order till it's in my hand though, heh.
