You have to queue, and in the morning the Apple staff come down the line and give out tickets, you won't know what stock is available until they get to you in the queue with the tickets, so you would need to go queue at midnight and be near the front if you want a 64GB plus.
Mmmmmmh... I'm considering the option of falling asleep at work on Friday and queuing at midnight :D

So wait you moved from Orange to them and asked for the deal? Please elaborate.

Not sure why it says orange. I was already a Sim only EE customer.
I just called upgrade department and asked for this particular deal as an upgrade for my contract

I got mine too.

I put my phone in it to give an idea how much bigger it was, and it didn't look much bigger. However, when holding the case and trying to reach the top corner with my thumb, I didn't have much room to spare. The 6+ would certainly have been too big for me given how I hold the phone.

I never considered the 6+ because I like these devices to be smaller (I've got my iPad if I need more screen space). I think I will quite like that bit of extra screen space that the 6 gives, but for me I'm almost certain the 6+ would be too big.

I agree, iPad reasoning and all..

I did the same test with my iP5. I'm still a little intrigued by the size of the 6 plus so will do a proper real time comparison when I can, just to be 100% sure:D

Funnily enough I was underwhelmed by my wife's case, it's hardly bigger than my 5S Speck case. My 6+ case seems fine, and I didn't think I had particularly large hands at all.

Yeah I have pretty decent sized hands with really long fingers. It's just the initial shock of going from a 5S to that size. I probably could have used the 6+ with ease but just didn't fancy it.

202 then upgrades to initially place the preorder, and then also to check on progress.

Got no real info out of them. Just that they weren’t guaranteeing anyone’s orders and everyone is being told up to 3 weeks on all iPhone 6 orders.

They said I would get a text & email 24 hours before delivery but until then no more info.

Last year's 5S delivery went to "Despatched" late on Tuesday. Then we followed the flights from Shenzhen -> Hong Kong - > Dubai / Cologne -> East Midlands.. By Thursday evening, about 9pm. Then onto UPS trucks, and they were delivered Friday morning on time. Beautifully synchronised.
So if this year follows last, then I'd expect to see Apple online orders switch to 'Despatched' later today/tonight.

I agree 100% ,i was one of them that tracked my phone, but theres a slight problem today as theres a typhoon imminent in Hong Kong and its disrupting flights. http://www.hongkongairport.com/flightinfo/eng/cargo_dep.html

Ordered on the 12th, with a delivery date 9/19.
Is still stuck in processing items. Money is held by Apple.
When will it change status?

Probably tomorrow at some stage, maybe even tonight but more likely to be tomorrow.

Do some stores get more stock than others? For example, Apple Stores in shopping centres, such as the Birmingham Bullring? I'm betting there will be BIG crowds.

It would make sense that the bigger stores with higher footfall get more stock, but no one knows (at least no one willing to post those details on the internet).

So, it turns out O2 are not fulfilling orders chronologically, but prioritising their existing platinum customers. I placed an order today for:

1x Gold 6plus 64gb
1x Gold 6plus 16gb
1x Silver 6plus 64gb
2x Gold 6 64gb
1x Slate 6 64gb

Upgrading 6 of my accounts at the same time, knowing that the current status is Out of Stock with a wait of 2-3weeks minimum and had a chat with my personal O2 customer service advisor and have been told they will all be despatched to me on Thursday for delivery on Friday, as a “valued customer” and had email confirmation of getting release day handsets as well … it wont go down well with many who move networks a lot and haven’t been able to get hold of one over the weekend, but that’s the state of play so it seems.

From my point of view im very happy as I didn’t expect to get them this quick at all, but being a non-commercial customer with a spend level they appreciate is paying out this year

I don't see anything wrong with this. I think it's well within their rights to allocate some of their stock for existing, valued customers. It's not like they delayed someone's order to dispatch yours quicker. They just reserve some stock for valued customers.

True, it will be interesting to see how quick stock sells out. If people reserve a phone for in store pick up, does that eat into the store stock, or are they ordered separately and sent to the store? i would of thought Apple would of sent as much stock as possible to stores, in order to supply the demand. More stock = more selling which for them = more money.

Each store has a separate stock for in-store pickups and what they call 'daily stock' which they just sell on the day. Neither will eat into each other.

This is how it should be. I think every other operator puts a priority on new customers and leaves the existing ones to rot.

Ok i didn't know that, has the online reserve been taken down? i've tried to look but it seems to have gone. I think even if i managed to look, all stock will probably have been reserved by now.

It is supposed to be back up at midnight, might check if I can reserve one :D
