UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

Apple is already on my bank statement hehe I am in the middle of a trip, but still following and refreshing this thread every 10 min. It is so good to see one is not alone being excited over a phone

For people with EE I would recommend to call the customer service and ask them what they can offer. The max data IN STORE is 4GB on Sim Only, but they can offer more when you call them. Technically I got 4GB + 5GB Loyalty.
Its going to take forever until Friday morning...
I called, online chat, etc and wouldn't give me this deal or similar with more than 4Gb. I'm currently not with EE, a firmed also got exact same deal as you and he's an EE customer though.
I would possibly go EE if they offered more Gb, I use around 8Gb now so need it to be up there, just won't give me...

Basically if apple offer pre orders it means they are coming from the UK
Apple ship them over in batches and distribute them around the country. Most/all of the phones come from the Tamworth UPS warehouse.
Once we get them are people just going to use them straight away or do the old "have to charge/discharge etc" ?
I've done both, but not sure this time, expect they'll come with some charge, but are you all going to charge to 100% first and then use, or just go on like we all do after the first week of fussing and charge when needed etc

Just plug it in, use it and wait until it is 100% charged. With modern lithium polymer batteries there are no problems anymore.
My iPhone 5 pre-order wasn't shipped direct from China, came from Apple's distribution centre in the UK.
Simply because its simpler to batch ship them centrally and redistribute internally in UK cos we're a small island .

Ordered the iPhone 6 for delivery on the 19th (Yay) but I didn't order applecare+ with it.
Could I go instore on Friday evening with my phone and purchase it or can you only get it when you order.
You apparently have 60 days from purchase to get Applecare+
If you do it in-store, take the phone, plus any receipts you have.

You can also order it over the phone, they run a remote diagnostics test first.
I have mine already from Amazon UK. The thin fit in gunmetal. £9.99 delivered free with Prime.

Im paying £26 for 4Gb, unlim calls/text, although im due for renewal next week.
I'm not too bothered about the colour, but I want a 6+ 64GB.
I was thinking to go there as soon as I can, get in line, and if they still have in stock I can wait, otherwise I go back home
You have to queue, and in the morning the Apple staff come down the line and give out tickets, you won't know what stock is available until they get to you in the queue with the tickets, so you would need to go queue at midnight and be near the front if you want a 64GB plus.
Wowzers, the pic of the case in your hand looks massive... I just don't think I could do it, and I have large hands
Received my spigen capsule for my 6 yesterday, definitely bigger comparing to my 5 but hard to tell if big enough
... I'll go checkout the 6plus instore over the next week or two to decide whether to exchange or not... But I'll most probably fall in love and keep it..
Sim only for existing customers. Just call upgrades and ask for it. They knew all about the plan and sorted it out. No haggle no problem
Both were sold by Keep in Case, who apparently are now out of stock. They weren't when I ordered. Sorry mate!
Just got my Spigen case for my 6.
I'm pretty shocked at the size of it in my hand. Wasn't expecting it to be as large as it is TBH.

I got mine too.
I put my phone in it to give an idea how much bigger it was, and it didn't look much bigger. However, when holding the case and trying to reach the top corner with my thumb, I didn't have much room to spare. The 6+ would certainly have been too big for me given how I hold the phone.
I never considered the 6+ because I like these devices to be smaller (I've got my iPad if I need more screen space). I think I will quite like that bit of extra screen space that the 6 gives, but for me I'm almost certain the 6+ would be too big.

Funnily enough I was underwhelmed by my wife's case, it's hardly bigger than my 5S Speck case. My 6+ case seems fine, and I didn't think I had particularly large hands at all.
