UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

She even re-emailed my confirmation so that it says the correct delivery date rather than the 17th October that it said before. I mentioned to her that people on Twitter were saying that they had ordered after me and received different texts, she put that down to there systems crashing on the Friday and reiterated that there shouldn't be any reason for the early callers not to get their iPhones!

Phew... sorry for the essay, but I thought I would let those of us in the same situation know that we (hopefully) don't need to worry. :D

I just called EE and spoke to someone who said that the text was correct and probably due to the sizing i wouldnt get mine on friday :O

Hmmmm!

Whats your spec? Same as mine? 6+ 128GB SG?
 
Does anyone's order still show preparing for dispatch but still show 19th delivery?

Gonna be annoyed if i spent all that time trying to order it, managed to get a 19th delivery, and then it doesn't show up
 
Mine has been just dispatched via Synceron. iPhone 6, ordered 8:38am on Friday.

Just one thing I wanted to ask you guys... I've printed my invoice once again from Apple.com and under 'Item number' column, it says '000010'. Wondering whether it's 10th iPhone ever created or probably randomly generated id.
 
I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with all my previous pre-orders. I still believe that Apple's CS and troubleshooting are second to none.
My phone was despatched this evening with UPS.
Ordered a Space Grey 64GB iPhone 6 Plus.
I will no doubt be refreshing the UPS website until I fall asleep and also waiting on IOS 8 on my iPad to install just to have a play not bothering with my phone.

Yeah, unless they have 1000 phones to deliver and each company can only do 500 or something like that.

Ordered online via upgrade!

Havent had any direct comms from them except the initial email confirming my preorder/delivery date of the 19th.

If the i5 launch is anything to go by then DPD will text us tomorrow to say "Hey, its been dispatched, expect a text tomorrow saying what hourly slot you get and if you want to change it then..."

Then yeah they text you again on the day saying what slot it will be and you have to text back 1/2/3 if you want it moved to one of three optional dates etc etc.
 
Hello. If anyone has ordered two or more phones or thinks they've made a mistake and is looking to release an iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Silver or Gold, I'd happily travel 150 miles from Lancaster, Lancashire and exchange funds on Friday.

Or even give you a lift to an Apple store where you might have one reserved.

After a few restless days ive just had an email from CPW confirming my order has been dispatched. I ordered 64gb space grey Iphone 6. The order was placed at 9.00am on Friday via telephone and it was an EE upgrade.
 
If my phone is delivered to Carphone Warehouse store tomorrow (I used click and collect) would I be able to collect it tomorrow or is there an embargo on release until Friday?
 
Just got my shipping notification! Excited now. EE have just improved their sim only plans. Quite competitive with 3 now, and they have better 4G coverage in the areas I'm interested in.

Got my email and text message from Apple saying my phone will be delivered on the 19th about 20 minutes ago :D

Used my three sim today in my iPhone 5. So happy with it. I've been using it in the Staffordshire/West Midlands area. From the test i've done today on 3G i'm getting 5MB all the way up to 18MB. So much quicker than GiffGaff :D

Does it not tell you who the courier is? Mine says UPS and then gives me the tracking reference- although it doesn't work yet.

So glad I work from home, can't wait until Friday. Now I just hope the 6+ isn't too big!

I was the same for most of the day until i got annoyed and called them. Then magically within 20 minutes it had changed to preparing for dispatch. I recommend you do the same

I will be calling them again tomorrow if it hasn't changed to dispatched

Hmm yes, exact same spec as you. Well, now i'm very confused, I wish they could keep their stories straight and just be honest with us.

Where is the link to find out the week of manufacture and serial number etc? Which stage of processing can you view this?

Will do but its not looking good atm. :(

I know its not the end of the world its only phone but i pulled an all nighter to get my order in knowing fine it would be 8am. After all that i then have to suffer about 25 minutes before i could get through to the site. And now its still like this. Will call bank tomorrow too but i cant see it being an issue as i have ordered many Apple products via this bank account and never had any issues before.
 
It could be a payment issue as thats what Apple said mine was, but after calling Amex there were no payment blocks.

Magically it all changed 20 minutes later and changed to preparing for dispatch
