Hey,

I've been following this thread since post number 1, but I've got a question of my own:

To those of you selling their iPhone 5s, who are you selling it to? And where is the best place to sell it to so I get a maximum return?

My 16GB iPhone 6 is being delivered by UPS tomorrow, ordered at 09.05 via the app on Friday morning and I got my dispatch notification at 19.57 last night. It is now showing 'In Transit' by the UPS app and the phone is in Tamworth - so down the road from me :cool: (Just in case anyone wondered what the hell is happening with their phone etc)

Giving my 5s to my son but Envirofone were offering £255 for mine (16gb) a couple of days ago.

looks like we should all raid tamworth for our phones lol.

Just found out some info about the tamworth hub
THE UPS hub at tamworth is the company’s largest facility in the UK and second largest in Europe after the air hub in Cologne.

The facility has the capacity to sort 42,000 packages per hour, which can be upped at peak times thanks to the conventional design of the conveyor system, which UPS chose over an automated system for increased operational flexibility.

All packages go through a volume scanner upon entering the hub and are again scanned when leaving so they can be tracked by the customer at all stages of the journey.

Imagine how many phones are there :D

Officially dropped out of the race. I decided to upgrade through Vodafone after their phonecall this afternoon offering me a better deal to stay. They can't say when or how many iPhones they have, was told there's a slim chance I could still get it tomorrow, a bigger chance I could be waiting up to a month. But for saving money in the long run, I took it. Now I've gotta wait for my Carphone Warehouse EE phone to be delivered so I can return it to a store.

I'm sure you are entitled to use that phone for up to 2 weeks before returning it ;)

Just spoke to UKmail regarding the delivery slot, they said that orders coming from Apple and O2 tomorrow are being delivered between 8AM and 8PM. The delivery slots are too much to handle for the driver, according to the lady on the phone.

I guess I could be waiting 12 hours for my phone :(

My dad is a professional delivery driver and he can work 15 hours straight with only 2 hour sleeping breaks. So I am assuming UPS and UKmail will have extra vans and delivery drivers about tomorrow morning.

He can, but is he legally allowed? I'm quite sure 15 hours of driving as a job is not allowed. I'm probably wrong though if your dad does it.

Well I guess I'm one of the only people getting it tomorrow who are actually hoping for a later Friday delivery...

Got no idea where my phone is!

Apple order status page says estimated delivery is 19th Sep via SYNCREON PARCEL.

I have entered the tracking number in the UK Mail website but it says:
'No results found. Please check and try again.'

I am sure the tracking website worked earlier this morning :confused:

Will have to wait and see what happens tomorrow...

It is perfectly legal as long as he doesn't do more than a certain amount of hours during a 6 day period, then legally he has to have at least a day off. So for example mon-tues-wed he does 10 hours of work and then he can work for 15 hours thur-fri. So it all depends on the amount of hours you've done already. It's complicated but I am sure UPS is prepared for a hard days of work tomorrow :)

I sold mine 2 weeks ago (before the announcement) using gumtree, I got £350 for my space grey 16GB, all boxed up and looking 99% new.

We're meant to be getting a text today/tonight confirming delivery and then one tomorrow about times etc.

I'm a new customer to them and I'm probably being silly here but I assume they will email me with order update? - unless I provided my existing mobile number when ordering but I can't remember doing that lol!

Anyone seeing any update from UKMail deliveries? mine still stuck at "Collected" lol and I am not sure i trust UKMail and reading some of their reviews.

@EWaldron
@N0RRIS
@oldcelt

FINALLLY EE HAVE SENT ME A MESSAGE

It will get delivered on..... the 20th! Which is fine as at least it means I will defintely be home all day.

@N0RRIS @oldcelt hope you get your texts and dates soon!

Same here :cool:
I wonder if it's not just a trick to keep us quiet lol

lol! It's amazing how one minute can change getting your phone from a Friday to a Monday. I ordered 8:41 and the launch day window was gone by 8:40 (for the 6+ anyway)

Envirofone will add 6% on top of the sale with the discount code SIX4SIX if you're quick, I think it's ending soon. Means they'll give you £270.40 for a 5s.

I'm using fonebank..used them for the past few years on iPhones and iPads. Best price I've found and totally reliable.
:)

Put your Apple W order number into the UPS tracking under the "track by reference" field and you should see tracking info on your phone from China.
