64GB GOLD 6+ on its way. Can anyone comment on the delivery policy for most couriers (do they start with the farthest, and work in, or vice versa?). Is there a pattern?

I'm in Gloucestershire (rural), but it's coming from Tamworth. Do NOT want to be the last one waiting!
Been wondering that too. Do they work to a pattern generally ? I.e furthest first and work back ?

There seems to be a slowdown on tracking updates at the moment.

Mine is still showing as in Hinkley (despite confirmation underneath that it reached Birmingham) and UK Mail just has it as 'collected'.

I guess it'll get updated overnight when it reached local depots and gets put out for delivery.

Well at least it's got a friend. Mines in Hinkley too.
I hope it's enjoying its restful evening before a busy day tomorrow!

Sorry if this has been discussed, I'm hoping its a joke

Just got in from work and have had a voicemail from Three asking me to call them

I returned the call and have been told that three have had a computer error and as a result all iPhone deliveries have been delayed until first week of October

She said this wasn't just my order but all their orders and they have spent all pm and evening trying to inform their customers.....

Has anyone else had this?

Annoyed doesn't cut it

Bit late but whoo hoo mines just gone to dispatched # shame it's the wife's 6 and not my 6+ gotta wait until the 10th of October for that #

Anyone from Three had a text via DPD yet about delivery? I know they said from 6pm onwards but I'm still panicking anyway :p

I've just had a text message off DPD for my iPhone 6 from Three! I can relax now. Knowing DPD I'll get a message before 9am with the 1 hour delivery slot which they always deliver by

just had my phone call from 3 confirming my pick up tomorrow morning after being (and still being) dicked around by their CS Department...

At least the stores know what they're doing.

First of all your delivery van won't come all the way from Tamworth. Tamworth is UPS' national depot, they will ship them overnight to more local depots, and then they will be out for delivery around 6AM in the morning.

Logically speaking they drive out and then work their way back.

Hello fellow Gloucestershire person!

I imagine overnight the phones will move from Tamworth to our local UPS depot, wherever that is. Pretty sure couriers start from the furthest point and work their way back to the depot, so you may find it comes earlier rather then later. Don't take my word for it though!

Edit: see above!

I can see no outrage on Twitter, so I'd suggest it's more likely that Three have cocked up your order and that whoever phoned attempted to soften the blow / insult your intelligence by claiming that everything has gone to ****.

Sadly for you, it's not all customers, seems their call staff are lying to soften the blow. Their twitter CS are apologising to people for what the call staff has said, and not affecting all customers. :(

Does anyone know if tomorrow when I go to pick up my 6 plus I reserved online if Apple will take my 5s for trade in against the cost?

Repost from O2 thread:

FYI, the O2 store near me has no iPhone 6 Plus' in and won't do for about two weeks, and only has 37 iPhone 6's, pretty much all of which are held to pre-orders. I suspect it's the same for most other O2 stores.

Basically, if you were planning on walking in to O2 and buying one on the spot: have fun with that. Oh, and they can't give you the phone until exactly 8:02. No jokes.

Carphone warehouse iPhone 6 plus 64gb in space grey on its way:eek:

just had my phone call from 3 confirming my pick up tomorrow morning after being (and still being) dicked around by their CS Department...

Their stores and CS use completely different computer systems so there can easily be a mismatch between the two.

Still no text from DPD/Three to confirm delivery for tomorrow so I called CS. Conversation:

Me: "Hi, I was just calling to enquire about my iPhone 6 preorder, I havent had a text from you guys or DPD yet regarding the delivery tomorrow - I also havent had any communications to say it has been pushed back either, can you help?"

Advisor: "What was your postcode? I'll check for you"

*gives postcode*

Advisor: "I cant see anything on the system but it will only let me track new orders, not upgrades. You should receive a text and email from DPD in the morning regarding delivery."

Me: "Oh right okay then, thanks!"

Dont get me wrong, I could have pushed it, just cant be bothered at this point. Bit annoyed as there seems to be three collectives of people now.

1) Those who have been told it's been pushed back to October (HUGE uproar on Twitter)
2) Those who have had their DPD text in the last ~3 hours (A few people on here it seems)
3) Those who have had nothing from DPD yet but have been told they'll get ' a text in the morning'.

Why are some people being sent texts now and others not getting anything until the morning? Frustrating!

Edit: Calling again, trying to see if I can get through to a different department. The 'upgrade' dept is closed apparently. SIGH.

I got my text at 7pm and I am a 'upgrade' customer if that is any help?

I'm sure you are entitled to use that phone for up to 2 weeks before returning it ;)

I would love to unbox it and give it a poke, but I'm already afraid of trying to return it and cancel the contract I've agreed to pay, don't want to rock the boat.
