UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

Just received my text message from Three confirming DPD delivery of iPhone 6 128gb for tomorrow with tracking details, can finally stop checking emails/twitter/Three account page for delays, was seriously worrying that I wouldn't be in the first batch as didn't get my upgrade order in until nearly 9pm.

Confirmation email gave estimated date as 19th, but was seriously expecting to get knocked back until October.
 
Anybody ordered with vodafone?

I ordered in store and rang the store who have no idea what stock they are getting tomorrow (apparently!!)

Anyone in the same boat?

According to my uncle who plans to do the same they will trade it in for you when you get your iphkne 6 plus.
 
Three as a company for customer service are atrocious.

I cancelled on the sunday. I have had them calling up every day since asking why I am leaving and what they can do. I told them politely the first time that they could offer me the world and I'd still be leaving. Finally lost my patience with them today, so hopefully they don't call back. Feel a bit bad for the phone operator but hey.
 
If mine says "preparing for dispatch" but the delivery date is 29th September to no October is there a chance it'll come early? The 29th is over a week away! It can't be preparing for dispatch all week?

Great Service from EE lakeside placed my preorder in store, received a call Friday asking which model i wanted last Friday. Today received a call asking what time i would be collecting my phone and then received an email confirming. Cant ask for better service from them

Well, usually they deal with the deliveries that are timed deliveries, e.g. have to be delivered before a set time - then they do business deliveries.

There's no real set pattern but I presume with the iPhones they'll have dedicated vans to deliver them.

Most likely it will come soon, preparing for dispatch suggests they've allocated your iPhone to you already so they'll probably just waiting to fill up a plane before they ship it.

Apple always over-estimate the delivery dates.
 
Got my text and an e-mail from DPD couple hours ago (Vodafone upgrade).

The DPD depot is literally a 5 minute drive away from where I am, exciting times :D
 
Right, called Three again

Got through to a more competent dept but I guess I'm still no closer to knowing what the **** is going on.

The advisor could see that I had upgraded online and said initially I was pencilled in for a 3rd Oct delivery (WHAT? I was never told this) but they got "more stock from Apple" so it was switched to 19th Sept.

I asked about the DPD text not arriving and she said that I wont be able to find out if its coming tomorrow... Until tomorrow. If DPD havent text me by 9AM then yeah, its the 3rd Oct. If they do text tomorrow then I'll get it tomorrow.

Raging.

I think it might do actually. Mine is the same, and I have been charged and have a UPS tracking number (by doing a bit of digging). I reckon early next week is realistic, though by no means guaranteed...

I returned the call and have been told that three have had a computer error and as a result all iPhone deliveries have been delayed until first week of October

She said this wasn't just my order but all their orders and they have spent all pm and evening trying to inform their customers.....

Has anyone else had this?

My friend has upgraded with Three on Tuesday, on the iP6 64GB SG, and received a text about an hour ago stating delivery tomorrow...

Not a happy man with vodafone right now. I ordered mine last friday, half an hour after reservations began. Just been told a hour ago that it won't be coming tomorrow after cancelling my current phone today in anticipation for it coming.

Sorry Vodafone but telling me a day before you said it would be here, and a hour after customer services can tell me when it may be here, is totally unacceptable.

Going to try my luck reserving one at apple store at 12 tonight, if I do vodafone can GTF.

iPhone 6 64GB Space Grey.
Ordered Saturday 9AM. Dont get me wrong, thats 'late' by preorder standards, and had they said 3rd Oct all along, I'd be annoyed but I'd take it.

What annoys me is this back and forth ************.
Initial purchase screen said 19th Sept.
Confirmation email said 19th Sept.
Advisor is saying it "was 3rd Oct" but now they have this 'magical stock from Apple' so wooooo it's now 19th Sept again...
..or maybe it's 3rd Oct, I wont know until tomorrow.

Absolutely nothing from DPD as of yet.

GRAHHHH.

Edit: If it is 3rd Oct then I am very tempted to cancel, buy outright from Apple (delivery date dependant) and then just go SIM-only with Three or whatever. Fed up.

Ignore the advisor on the phone who said the 3rd. I was told the 3rd also, but it's coming tomorrow.

Three have constantly said on Twitter that if your email states 19th, and you haven't had a call from them stating otherwise, it'll be delivered on the 19th.

DPD are making collections from the networks all night, so don't panic. If your email says the 19th, and they haven't called you to tell you it'll be delayed, then it will arrive tomorrow.

I wish I could calm down dude, I really do. I just dont understand why some people have their texts from DPD and some dont? Surely DPD vans must be flying about all over the place by now so their automated messaging system would have kicked in for everyone?

I dont have an email from DPD either D:

No worries. I used to work for UPS international operations many many years ago (my desktop ran Windows 3.11 if that helps put a date on it :) ) but I still try to keep up with their stuff.

They'll be collecting from the networks all night. I'm 90% sure you'll get your phone tomorrow if they haven't called to tell you otherwise, and your initial delivery date was 19th.

Search Twitter for "@threeuksupport iphone", there's plenty of people still waiting for text messages to confirm delivery. :)
 
UK Mail Deliveries:

Checking UK mail's twitter feed from earlier and they sent a tweet reply to a customer saying text's would be sent out tonight for delivery slots tomorrow!

Anyone received a SMS this evening from UK Mail?
