Called the Regent Street store - they said one can reserve at 6am. Not sure if it's 6am or 12am though. He said he's been told 6am and he was from the Comms department.

I don't mind if it's either. I asked if it's difficult to reserve and he said no it shouldn't be a problem. He said I should be able to reserve the one I want and at the store I want.

I've never gone through this, would anyone like to shed light on whether the reserve and pick up is a) an easy process b) you have a decent likelihood or is it like a lottery?

does it matter really which store you choose?

Easy. Once you get an hour window you just turn up. Today there was a separate queue for those with reserved times. I waited 20 minutes then was in the store and out in 10.

So anyone waiting for an iPhone currently flying from China that had an estimated delivery date of 29th Sep - 3rd October... I just got this email from Apple!

Your dispatch notification email displays an estimated delivery date for next week. We are pleased to inform you that the scheduled delivery for your iPhone 6 Plus has been updated to 20.09.2014.

On Saturday morning you will be able to track your order by visiting Order Status.

Thank you for choosing Apple.

The Apple Online Store.

got this too but I don't think it will happen. On last check the phone was in South Korea and my order page is still showing 22nd.

unless they have a Tardis

Very easy process. I had a 50 minute wait at Regents Street but it was a lunchtime slot. Once at front of queue in and out in 5 minutes. Phone is yours as long as you turn up during your time slot.
Good luck

Please read the previous pages. Apple have said to me (3 times altogether) via live chat & on the phone that the new iPhone will be available for reserve and pickup in store via their website at midnight tonight.

Should be this link:
https://reserve.cdn-apple.com/GB/en_GB/reserve/iPhone/availability

You and me have received conflicting info! I hope you're right. Goodluck with getting your phone.

Have you gone through this process before?

Thank you for that - I feel that you probably bought it to pick up earlier right?

I am aiming to reserve it tonight at midnight (or 6am) and would like to know if it's easy to reserve online?

The UPS flight from Dubai is now over Germany on its way to Cologne.

Watching the plan travel on flight tracker is way more fun than actually having the phone to play with.

Did you go to Bromley ?

Ah no mate, just waited until my phones got delivered, all three just before 11:00. (Sorry, don't mean to sound greedy, one for me, one for wifey, and one for my bro).

----------

Thanks UKMail for NOT delivering my 6 despite assurances via phone and twitter I'd have it before 8pm... Somewhat annoyed!!

Ah sorry to read of this mate. Hope it'll arrive for you tomorrow.

Sorry if this has been covered already folks but I was just wondering if you have ordered online can you return the phone instore or does it have to be returned online?

Cheers guys

A quick question, if you order online, but want to then exchange for another model (128GB instead of 64GB), can you do it in store?

No. You have to take what you've reserved. If that's what you're asking? Did you get yours?

How do you track the flight its on from the UPS tracking number/web order - any ideas??

Thanks!

Go to http://planefinder.net and then start a search with ups and gives you a list of all ups flights and you can see in the details where it has originated. Generally all flights from asia end up in cologne or amsterdam.

Select one and it shows you its location in the sky

Thank you - you too.

I reserved a 6 on the day the reserve system opened (on the 12th I think) but decided I wanted the 6+ so just forgot about it.

I hope it's midnight tonight also. If you flick back 2-4 pages, I have a screenshot from an Apple live chat saying it's midnight and I called and they said that too. So hopefully we're in luck.

It's like for like. In store purchase = in store return. Mailed= they'll pick it up.

Yeah I actually had a look at the screen shot you showed earlier. I just hope it's not like another lottery system, or difficult to get on the day off. I will aim to reserve tonight and if not, will do so again at 6am. I'm looking for a 6 in 64GB (grey) which I sometimes here is plentiful and sometimes I hear is not! guess we'll find out.

UK Mail just delivered both my phones - thank you uk mail. I didn't think they would come. And the planned time was 920-1020pm.

Now for the unboxing! :D

Driver said he still had loads of phones to deliver tonight...

Based only on my one time experience earlier, it's a breeze. I reserved a Space Gray iPhone 6 128Gb last Saturday having missed out on the pre order route and thinking I would have my 5S for the foreseeable future. However, Apple had a range of variants in my local Apple Store (Victoria Square) and I picked it up earlier today with no problem whatsoever.

No. You would have to return the online order to the online store via courier. You have to call Apple first to get a return authorisation number. Then you have to re-order online or try and get one from a store.

No. See above answer. Apple UK does not offer this option.
