There has been next to no availability of the 128Gb iPhone 6 plus in Apple Stores throughout UK. Have been checking stocks every hour.

It's got a dead pixel but I really can't be bother with all that sending back! These things attract dust like hell!

48 hrs my 6 plus has been preparing for dispatch, does anybody know how long this stage takes?

Put it on a plane!! lol

Try going to UPS website and use track by reference (not by number which is default).....and put your apple order no. in beginning with W.........mine showed up on their tracking before apple actually declared it as dispatched....so you never know...... :)

I'm thinking there is something fishy going on with the Apple Reserve & Collect Feature...

For two days running – checking on iphone6stockchecker.com – at approx 3.45pm, there has been various models shown as in stock at Trafford Centre store.

Log on to Apple website - Reserve and Collect page -*sure enough, same models in stock. Click through the options to reserve one - by this time it's about 3.55ish –*only time option that comes up to collect is between 3pm and 4pm - so I'm supposed to teleport myself there within 5 minutes?

So I wait until 4pm ticks by - hoping they will have later time slots - and hey presto - ALL stock suddenly gone. This has happened at 4pm both yesterday and today.

I checked other stores and they have time slots to collect up until 7pm – so why not Trafford Centre - and suspicious that and 3.59pm various models in stock - if you can get there within the next minute -*then at 4pm – all stock gone!

Hmmmmmm.

Mine is out for delivery, but I have to be in work for a meeting today. I'm going to hold off leaving for as long as I possibly can in the hope that it gets here before I leave.

I left it as long as I could this morning but had to admit defeat and head in to work for my meeting. I managed to escape at 2:30, but got notification on the way back that they'd already tried to deliver. I was trudging back home when a UPS van whizzed past me on my street. I ran like mad and arrived home to find them attempting delivery #2. Restoring from iCloud backup right now. #

Awesome, that was lucky! Glad that us missing since Poland group all got them today after yesterdays debacle.

I consider it to be karmic payback for the good deed I did while waiting at the train station - helped a pensioner who wasn't able to make any calls on her mobile due to an "emergency calls only" message. I used the standard IT bodge of turning it off and turning it back on again and it worked, much to her delight. :)

Previously I've ordered the phone as soon as possible but not being a fan of bigger phones I decided to go and see the phone first before ordering.

Went to my local shopping centre today. All phone shops had the new iPhones basically caged to the shelf so all you can do it touch the centre of the screen. I understand they need to do this for security but it gives the shopper zero idea if they actually like the phone or not. How it feels in the hand, how one handed use would be etc. I asked if any had a dummy of it for me to look at and actually get a feel of the phone but none did.

So I went to four different phone shops (CPW, EE, Virgin, O2) and I still have absolutely no idea if I like the phone or not.

not good service at all... did you try an Apple store, I'm guessing they would be nice enough to help you out

No Apple Store anywhere near you?

It's a disgrace. Why on earth Apple can't source screens that don't have these issues is beyond me. Are we being taken for a ride and all this stuff about quality is just hot air?

Having given up on the 6 due to 3 devices with dead pixels, I've gone for a 6+. On my second one - both had great screens but both have scratches around the home button. The first was quite bad, the second one very minor and given the other issues out there definitely a keeper. Looks like a manufacturing process issue where some of the assembly machines are scuffing the screens during assembly.

Thankfully there is an apple store not too far but I won't be able to get there until next weekend at the earliest.

Just really annoying, was hoping I'd be able to have a look then if I liked it come home and order/reserve one.

I know it's not a big deal and it's just an extra few weeks if I do decide to get one but seriously. They're phone shops. People go in to look at phones. You couldn't even pick them up to maybe gauge how heavy they feel they were basically caged and bolted to the side and the only visible area was the screen.
