UK iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus Thread

Anyone heard anything from O2 yet?

Switching to them from 3 as the yearly upgrade deal just seemed too good a deal to miss,

Going away on holiday on the 28th and I'm desperate to have my new toy by then. The excitement is killing me!
 
I need delivery to take place after 1.30pm or I miss it, I don't know what happens then if I do miss it with being at work.

Some of my accessories bought yesterday from ebay are already here.

They're normally really good at first day deliveries. Got mine last year no problem.
 
Coming back from a long stint on Android (currently Nexus 6) since my last iPhone 3G, as I just fancy a change for a bit, and iOS now supports Android Wear.

Got my order in at launch like 8:09am or something silly for a 6S+ 64gb SG (hey, after a Nexus 6, anything else feels tiny) with 25th September showing, but confirmation came through as 2-3 weeks, 5-9th Oct, which I'm a bit gutted about 🙁

No sign of payment taken other than a hold still showing on my account, I did mine through PayPal as I got an offer of 6 months 0% from PayPal credit. Not sure if that maybe pushed it back a bit too.

Do Apple ever bring delivery dates forward? I'm going away on holiday early on the 9th, so gutted if it is that day, or later as I'll be away. Hopefully not as bad as the fiasco of the Nexus 6 anyway... I had ordered on launch, got pushed back and then two turned up...! 😛

I am coming from 3 myself too and going to o2 I have the usual four emails with all info for refresh. When I rang them they said you get more info nearer the date.
 
Preparing for despatch now.

6s Plus 64gb SG ordered at 8.04.

Not had a single confirmation email or payment taken but at least it looks on track for the 25th.

Apple always go for an under promise, over deliver approach. So this means the delivery estimate is a worst case scenario and it should definitely be delivered by the 9th but can often be earlier.

I got this last night but i think it's a bug in the update. I haven't had phone unlocked as was an unlocked phone from purchase. On the lock screen the number showed but when I went into iMessage the name was there!

Just got hubby to send me a text but that was fine.

Am sure with the 5s you could see what delivery number you were and track the driver.
 
I love the whole hype train with apple products. I don't care if people think its sad!

I enjoy watching the unveiling, reading all the tech sites for the next week after to see the hands on impressions and specs as they start to filter out.

Then I normally come and find the thread on here and meet up with some of the same old names and let the fun begin.

Followed by normally a week of perfectly grown adults panicking like totally irrational little kids over everything.

Then comes the big day....

The thread is mostly full of "OH MY GOD THERES A VAN DRIVING UP MY ROAD!!!!!!!!!!" followed by "oh, it was just driving past, ill never get my phone, FML"

finally, it arrives!! those of us who don't have ours yet are enviously enjoying the photos of boxes that people are posting up and reading peoples first impressions.

The day after: I won't visit macrumors iPhone forum again until September 2016 😀

Wish that was true on all their orders. Still waiting on a case which is still showing estimate of yesterday

Oh aye, DPD use the same tracking system - the text in the morning with 1hr slot is so comforting, hehe.
 
Bought some spigen cases from Amazon. 2.99 and free postage. Delivered yesterday. I saw opinions bout cheap plastic ones but I've got original ones with numbers to check on spigen website. Amazing stuff and great quality.
 
Ahh, this time last week... Good/mildly stressful memories...

Edit: Hang on, its still Friday! Whoops, false alarm. Should probably go to work!!

Im off work today, I had originally booked this and next Friday off for the iPhone launch.

However I am working from home today to save losing a days holiday. Feels weird working form home as a tradesman. Luckily I can type up safety certificates.

So basically ill be spamming the hell out of this thread as I am bored already
