The cases I ordered from Apple are being delivered today by DPD.
Is that because your original order didn't turn up though (ie an exception rather than a rule)?

Apple would normally use Royal Mail for delivering cases and it's a shame they don't use DPD for phone deliveries.

If you opt for the postal/free delivery it's Royal Mail. Seeing my case hasn't turned up Apple are sending me a new one via courier. Will see who it is went the tracking info is available

The world is really full of awful people.

Thankfully the eBay feedback system allows you to reduce the risk of things like this. Unless a buyer has a gleaming feedback profile I'll never go through with the sale.
See that's the illusion as well though. The iPhone scam was buy someone that only ever purchased and made payments immediately so his feedback was always 100%. He used a separate selling account. On paper he was the perfect eBay punter. Still makes my blood boil as you can tell. lol. Anyway on a happier note 7 sleeps left!!!

Nope normal order I was expecting Royal Mail as well

I really want to give Peace app a go. It's top of the content blockers at the moment. However £2.29 price is putting me off.

Half of my cases have been delivered by UK Mail this morning. Wanna hear the best part?

I was in the house, waiting for them and two of our cars were parked outside on the drive. The UK Mail driver steps out of his van and has the package for me - sees my neighbours outside and GIVES THEM the package! I saw this and imminently went downstairs to see what the hell is going on! He said he thought we were out and left the parcel in the hand of my neighbour! Surely you'd knock first to make sure for yourself?

I am officially done with them, rang Apple this morning to chase the delivery up and they weren't helpful at all today so they're going to receive another call in about 10 minutes because I'm yet to receive my silicone cases. This time I will be wanting to speak to the supervisor.

Really, I haven't experienced anything like this before! Anyone had similar issues?

I've checked up on Special Delivery and you need to post either by Friday at 4pm or Saturday by 11am. Either should be fine.

Cheers! RM website wasn't too clear!

Past 2 phones I sold on eBay were bought by scammers. 1st claimed my 3GS was locked to Voda when it was purchased from Apple sim free. Went to dispute and PayPal sided with the buyer as is the norm. He was supposed to send me my phone back and PayPal froze my funds and put hold on credit card. He sent me a mobile phone brochure to further insult me, but had proof of recorded delivery postage so PayPal decided I had received my phone back. Never saw the phone or money again. 2nd was an LG G3. Buyer said I had rooted it which I hadn't. Once again dispute came flying in but this time I had the sense to tell the guy I would be blocking the IMEI until I rec'd it back. That was enough make him change his mind. Never heard back from him after that. I f I was you I would tell the buyer in the even if the phone coming back you will block the IMEI to protect everyone involved. Also remember buyers have up to 180 days to request a chargeback through PayPal. No retail company in the world give that level of protection. Ridiculous.

What a b******!

Maybe not full of awful people but there sure are a lot! Am so glad am trading in this year - these stories are terrible.

That's what I've told him. Send the phone back and I'll give a full refund. Why would anyone scratch a perfect condition phone?

Anything to be able to open a Paypal dispute which has always heavily favourited the buyers! You done the right thing asking for it back.

If its pen he's likely to recreate the 'scratch' before sending. Fingers crossed he does send the phone though.

I've been put off selling on eBay massively, it's definitely not what it used to be and is home of some very dishonest people.

Mentioned earlier that my silicon case hasn't turned up yet. But that's with Royal Mail (via uk mail). Had a web chat this morning and they're sending me new ones with 1 business day delivery and full tracking.

Try the web chat option.

You just hope he doesn't actually scratch it now if he sends it back!

Good you had a pic of the so called scratch and least you can compare it to the phone if you get it back.

Yeah, mine were fully tracked and supposed to be with me on Tuesday. Look where we are now! FRIDAY! I am speaking on apple chat, they seem to be more understanding.

I had major issues selling a soundbar on eBay but in their defence it all resolved well:

It sold and then the buyer did not pay for about a week and a half despite numerous reminders i had no contact from the buyer, raised a dispute and got payment nearly immediately, Sent the item fully tracked via Parcelforce and didn't think much more until a week later i get a message from buyer saying they had not received the item and no missed delivery cards left, i look at the tracking and give parcelforce a call and they say they tried to deliver but no one answered so they took it to be held at the local post office. I informed the buyer of this and again heard nothing for a week until i get a message saying that due to him having a bad back and no transport could i re arrange delivery to which i politley replied that to avoid another failed delivery and wasting time for him to phone up to arrange delivery and provided a phone number. 2 weeks later i get a dispute raised and hold put on the funds as he still hasn't received the item despite me confirming again it's sat awaitig collection at the post office. I supply eBay all the details and they within a few hours close the dispute in my favour saying i had done all i could to send the item to the correct address and it'f the buyers fault he cant collect

He's now sent this pic saying it was taken in low light.

Those cases from Apple site?

Exactly. He said; "Could it be a case of not noticing it?

I've just checked the phone in low light and you can't really see it.

We have very good and bright lighting in our office, so it's very noticeable...."

so he's still disputing that theres a scratch there even though the two pictures he's sent are completely different?

tell him if he wants a full refund you want the phone sent back today with tracked and insured shipping.

I am playing devils advocate. Please don't think I am questioning your integrity at all.

Are you 100% it was absolutely mint? I only ask as sometimes scratches can look very miniscule depending on the light quality etc.

again please don't be offended. What does he wish to do about the situation? how much reduction does he want?

Just keep telling him to send it back.

Last year my stepmam sold a phone on eBay, only for the buyer to say it had burn marks in it. He took pictures of the supposed burn marks. He was supposed to send it back, PayPal refunded the money to him, then PayPal took the money out of my stepmams account a 2nd time.

I won't deal with selling things on eBay, and I stay as far away from PayPal as possible. I'd rather sell to someone like CEX at a lower price than risk everything on eBay. eBay is a scammers market now and high value items are the ones at most risk. When new versions of the iPhone and other popular phones come out then the scammers come out to fleece those who wish to sell earlier models.

Very strange... the scratch looked somewhat deep in his original picture. Remember eBay can also read any messages with the buyer, so I would straight up say return for full refund if you are not happy. If he delays and makes excuses give eBay a call and they will look over your case and your messages - theyre usually pretty good

Hey guys

Anyone else have issues with Apple Pay on the Apple Store app? Every time I try to order something it has a big exclamation! mark in red next to the shipping address and won't let me continue no matter what I input!
Mine was doing that all through the iOS 9 Beta and does the same on 9.1 Beta. Need to be running a launched OS, for example 9.0 release version then will work fine.
