Just called DPD to ask about the next step as I also paid to have it delivered early. At this stage the package is still with the sender (Carphone Warehouse) If by any chance that DPD receive the package by tonight then it could be delivered at the ordered time slot. If thats not the case my assumption is that they will be with DPD sometime Thursday ready for a Friday delivery.

Did they say they'd compensate you if it wasn't delivered as paid for?

They are willing to refund you the £5 now given the information in my last post. The guy made it sound like it would be possible to get a refund if the it couldn't be delivered on the date ordered. So in short Yes.

Just on a chat with Apple and they say that the couriers they use are UPS, UK mail and DPD. Never known them to use DPD for a launch day delivery before. The guy can't tell me which courier is delivering my iPhone though.

What's everyone's plans launch day? I'm planning on sitting on my Xbox whilst I wait impatiently for my phone to turn up!! It's boring for me though as I'm up a drive there's no false alarms to get excited about

I'm getting mine delivered to work, my manager is fully aware of what is coming and my according excitement levels! My day will be spent rushing to the door every time the bell rings.

I think my manager reluctantly accepts no work will be done on Friday!

My O2 upgrade order has updated to include a tracking number now, although it doesn't currently work. Being sent with DPD, although I recon they will hold onto it until Friday.

Hmm... To be honest I wouldn't have thought so considering it will be been sitting in a box for a few weeks and then dispatched yesterday before watchOS 2 officially came out.

I would setup from new but dont want to lose my progress on games ive invested a lot of time in last few months.

Don't individual apps and games back up to iCloud?

Running out of time to sell my 6, and Gumtree is only returning scammers.

Where's a good place to sell nowadays? I'll need minimum £410 to break even, but would prefer closer to £500.

Yeah I'm still waiting on eBay... No idea mate as recyclers just give around £350 or less

They should be yes. But there was a difference between the 6 and 6+ but very minimal.

Hmmmph. People (Ok, one that we know of) in the US are getting their phones delivered 4 days early and we're all still sitting here like demented chickens pecking away at refresh buttons trying to force our phones to move from "preparing for dispatch" Think I'm going to try and reacquaint myself with my sanity for a while. The jelly babies told me it was the right thing to do.
