I think they're just lucky because it can track the phone number on their Apple account apparently. I don't really understand it at all to be honest.
Anyone else with o2 still getting "This information is not available at the moment. Please try again later.". My order went through at 8.52am on the 12th (they took forever to take my payment and charged me twice!)
It looks like they're staggering the orders in terms of updating online info. 2 days back some on o2 had seen updates and confirmation of delivery company etc. I only got that info this afternoon. My order went through at a similar time on the 12th also. Next stage is actual emails of dispatch from o2 and the UK Mail.
If you ordered that early, you'll be fine.
(I was in full panic mode until I saw the update with my own eyes, so I know how it feels).
I ordered 2 min after site was up, and mine's been showing 'preparing for despatch' since Thursday or Friday.
Have my new Apple Watch ready and waiting to pair up, once my 6S Plus arrives ! Can't use it with my 4S, but I already knew that.

State side launch phones have always shipped direct from China by UPS to the customer. We have syncreon to deal with here and the history of UK launches tells us we only see tracking once given to the local courier. Doesn't meant they've not shipped from China to the uk when most people were charged, we just don't see that part.
I think it was the 5s launch they never had a pre order and they went straight to sell.. Those shipped from China to us direct iirc
Mine got taken yesterday (21 Sept), though it's my credit card and it usually takes 2-3 days for transactions to show so I'm guessing most likely 18/19th was the day Apple actually requested it.
My online order still shows as 'Preparing for Dispatch' but so did the case I ordered until the day before it arrived so I'm not worrying yet.... honest. haha
Must be all random. I ordered 8:03 launch day and as I say, money taken on the 19th.
My transaction date was 16th Sept but because of weekend it just showed up fully yesterday.
Ordered my Space Grey 6S 64GB through Carphone Warehouse last Tuesday, haven't received any emails other than one advising me that it's a pre-order and I'll be notified when it's despatched.
Website still suggests that all 6S' will be Friday but other people getting despatch notifications is concerning me...

I'm in the same boat as you - I assume we'll begin to get tracking information either tomorrow or Thursday!
Hopefully. I don't really 'mind' a longer wait if it's necessary but I'd rather know now than have it confirmed by silence on Thursday!
I can imagine Friday's phone call now... "uh, no sir, you've pre-ordered but all stock has already been sold, so when we get more stock we'll let you know...".
