Ah, I didn't get that text because they hadn't ever told me October. But I've just received my text offering me the chance to reschedule my delivery! AS IF!!!

A word of warning to people merrily posting their tracking texts, it is quite possible to use the link in these texts to change instructions for delivery or change delivery date.

I have obscured the url in the one above, but it is completely visible in the actual post.

Someone might might find it funny to change your delivery date to next week sometime, not something the recipient will find very funny.

I can see your address and order details:

I can change your delivery, fancy waiting an extra week?

My iPhone 6S 64gb Space Grey should be arriving tomorrow, shipping via UKMail.
It's been collected at least, that'll do for me.
Especially since I managed to get a reservation for tomorrow anyway, so I'm going picking one up before work and returning the one that's getting delivered (sorry to the 1 person that missed out cos of me..).

Finally the parcel app has woken up and showing my ukmail delivery using the 309.... Tracking number. Shame the phone is still in bloody Ryton since 2pm.

Hopefully this is actually on way somewhere closer to their Croydon depot. That alone fills me with fear given I've had an Amazon delivery never turn up from their Croydon depot as it was stolen!
I'm 5mins away from Ryton. It's on the site where Peugeot car plant used to be

Just got a text from Vodafone with my order number (I upgraded through Carphone Warehouse)

Doesn't seem to be a tracking number of any kind though, but still nice to see some movement!

Slightly off topic on deliveries BUT how will i restore my iPhone 6 backup on my 6s tomorrow? as it's using iOS 9.1 beta 2? In the developer portal it doesn't give me an option to download an image of iOS 9.1 beta 2 for a 6s?
I remember previously, I tried going from a backup of a beta, to an earlier version. ie, 7.1 beta down to 7. iTunes would not let me restore my 7.1 backup to my 7.0 install - it threw up an error about needing a later iOS version.
What worked at the time, was editing one of the info file (info or manifest, can't remember) and changing the iOS version from 7.1 to 7.0. Simple change, but it worked..
Not sure I'd recommend it now though; so much has changed since then.

I appreciate it feels more direct to buy from the company which designed and arranged for its manufacture, but practically speaking if you buy it from somewhere else you have 2 separate parties with refund/replacement/repair responsibility if anything goes wrong. Buy it from Apple and you have the 1.
From experience John Lewis are the most helpful and generous retailer in the UK when it comes to after sales support, more than Apple, sadly.

It wouldn't be so bad if these things and their accessories didn't break, but they just do.

I have to disagree. From my prior experience Apple's customer service is just as good as John Lewis' if not better. I've never had any problems with Apple customer service in store or over the phone. They have always been able to sort out the issue to my satisfaction. That said I've never had an Apple accessory break and that includes the cables. Also personally I rather deal with Apple when it comes to their products then a third party company.

Just got an email, I now have tracking.

Tracking says:

"Your parcel has been delivered and signed for by EVANS at 13:24 on Wed 28 Jan 2015"

28th January?!

Someone told me today that when we get our new phones we shouldn't update the software as there's problems with wifi. Anyone know anything about this?

Just spoke to DPD in oldbury about my CPW order and the (useless) guy at the other end told me that they're not getting the phones until tomorrow as far as he knows, but thats completely different from last time i called. Oh well I'm gonna have to wait and see...

Sometimes tracking numbers are reused. I'm currently tracking a package through USPS, when I checked the other day it was signed for back in May. The next day it showed the correct details after a refresh.

Here are your iPhones :):)

Tomorrow you will get this
