Anyone else had some strange behaviour from their 6S lately? Mine today seems to have like reset the apps or something, all my apps I've used today like whatsapp etc asked me to access things when I've already done this before

My Mail went wonky today was saying I had unread emails when there was nothing unread.

Would alert me to new mail but no new mail but would increase the unread count

Yeah I've previously had mail problems too, saying it couldn't connect to server etc

I haven't experienced that. Had some problems with my Apple ID. Kept on signing me out for some reason. Had to reset my network settings which I thought was a odd suggestion, but it seems to have worked.

Just got my iPhone 6s today from Vodafone!

Really happy with it so far.....what should I turn off to save battery?

So far I have turned off Siri, Auto-Brightness.....anything else I should turn off?

Siri isn't a battery hog, I've actually got Hey Siri active and it's only used 1% in 36 hours.

Wow your battery life is good..what else have you got turned off?

I started using it straight out of the box...the guy advised me to run down he battery to 0 and then charge....normally when fresh put of the box i put it straight on charge for a couple of hours. Is he right?

I remember a while a go you had to do that with new products and devices. Don't think you need to do it nowadays.

Not a lot, I go through background app refresh and only leave the essentials on (apps that actually need it, like Whatsapp), and only allow location services on apps where it's useful to me. Other than that I avoid battery hogging apps like Facebook altogether, they don't get installed (I'm not a big user, if I want to see something on Facebook I use the browser).

That's what I have posted
I just picked up a black case and it fits the 6s+ even though it's for the 6+. Looked original and unopened.
Bargain for a tenner. Thanks for the link.

I have to add that the fit is very tight, and the camera cutout is a bit off centered - under the camera lens there is practically no space left whereas on the top there is a good 1.5 mm of space left. Anyhow, tight, but fits.

How do you find out which apps use location services and manually turn them on and off?

Would agree it's a tight fit.

Don't forget use the parcel app

I would if I could, I have no iPhone currently and I'm currently without a phone as my Nexus 5 died last wednesday, I'm sat here with no phone and an Apple Watch I can't use yet with the UPS page pinned on my MBP.

Same model as CraigB above, despatched and arriving on 14th :). Which is quite convenient as I'm off then anyway.

I reserved and collected a 6S on launch day as I had this crazy notion that I wanted to downsize from my 6+. Nope, a couple of hours later I realised my grave error, really cannot imagine using a phone that small anymore.

As much as the Plus is big, I've become completely accustomed to it and can do an admirable job with it one handed. All personal taste, but the 6S actually felt less comfortable to hold as I had to pincer it with my average sized hands. The pocket presence of the Plus never bothered me either - in fact, the brief time I used the 6S and had it in my pocket, I could no longer sense it being there and was paranoid that I'd lost it!

Admittedly, this is all based on merely a few hours usage.

My local CPW* has stock of the SG 6 model that I want and I'm torn whether to go for it or not.
I have a 5C currently with 8GB and it's painful.
I had a 6 last year but ended up being foolish and selling it to try the other devices out there. Had some fun with some of them, but ultimately came back to Apple. Couldn't afford anything extravagant at the time so had to opt for an eBay 5C in 8GB thinking it'd get me by.

Nope. Now I can't take photos, have hardly any apps, music is all through Apple Music but can't seem to create playlists or make songs / albums available offline. Constantly getting storage full notifications.

Something is stopping me pulling the trigger on a 6S though. I have the money, just don't know whether to buy.
I want an iPhone still, so I looked to getting maybe a new 5S or 6 with more storage but for the amount they both are brand new I may as well pay the extra for the 6S. I want a new phone and not a used one as I just don't like buying used phones. Weird, I know ha.
Decisions decisions.
Apologies for this post it's pretty pointless! I just thought I'd vent whilst I toy with the idea of going to buy it straight from work or not... o_O

*Aware that it locks to first sim from CPW.

for the extra you pay for the 6s you do get a much faster CPU and twice the RAM as well as 3D touch and the new camera. the way I looked at it is I pay the extra and I will have a phone that should be supported for an extra year or more and that in 2 years I will look back and would have rather paid the extra £100.

of course if it's much cheaper then it's different, problem is thinking like that has resulted me in buying the most expensive one available in an attempt to not experience any buyers remorse :p

Ha yeah that's the only problem!

But I agree with what you say. The extra £100 would definitely go a long way. The way I'm looking at it, in a years time when I come to sell it for the 7 (which will undoubtedly happen :p ) the 6S is going to be worth a lot more than the 6 is. Yes, iPhone's hold their value well, but the 6S will definitely sell for a prettier penny.
Plus, I'll get around £100 for my 5c on eBay so that will go towards the difference.

Anyone bought the 6s and wish they'd just stuck with the 6?

Giffgaff got stock today of all phones I think, luckily I looked right in the middle of the storm haha got myself a 128 SG 6s+, wanted 64 but they had run out and they had 128 so I just took the plunge, only £6 more a month. Ganna put a 3 sim only in it so getting everything for just under £44. Can't wait for it to come tomorrow and join the 6s+ club, this 5S battery is killing me
