This is a great looking case - I have the Neo Hybrid metal love the look and feel - unfortunately so frustrating but whilst I can handle the bar loss in signal I have experienced substantial loss in Bluetooth range ( third the distance before its unstable ) no issue of using headphones with phone on you but I like to leave it in locker at gym and can do with any other case on but this one not even close. Also massive range reduction when used with a Bose mini speaker at home too.
Also poor GPS tracking on running apps ( jumps way of the road/path I'm on several times during the run again only when using the this case but makes it unreliable and unusable. Have you tested out bluetooth and GPS with this specifically running as it seems ok for car Nav etc.

Guys you know when listening to music on your iPhone do you find that its not too loud? It seems I have to turn it all the way to the top....which is not right.

I am using the ear pod earphones....

Agreed, it's not very loud with the provided buds, but when I use my beats solos or my Sony in-ears, it's much better, so I've given up on the Apple ones. I'd be interested to hear anyone else's thoughts. Mine's a 6s and is definitely quieter than my previous 6+

with the EarPods on my 6S+ I had my volume set to less then half and any more was too loud, this was inside though and not in a noisy environment or anything. I haven't tried my other headphones yet so can't comment there. :)

I know I'm being hopeful here but asking anyway. Can anybody running 9.1 tell me if the POP email problem in Apple's Mail app has been fixed?

It really depends on what in-ear phones or headphones you are using. For example my B&W C5 Series 2, I have to turn the volume up to well over half to get the same loudness, as say the included EarPods. This is because they need more power to run (Impedance).

I haven't noticed any differences between the 6 and the 6s.

I don't suppose you have the EU limiter on? - Settings - Music - Volume Limit

While you're there check the EQ, some settings lower the volume and make sure sound check is turn off.

Is that an iCloud contacts issue rather than a hardware problem? How is your battery doing since you put the beta on?
Yeah I think it's to do with iCloud but I've tried everything, contacted Apple a while ago and they said they'd get back to me but haven't

I've checked those. Settings are all off. The Apple buds are ok at home or in a quiet environment, but not outside or on public transport. My Sony 650 in ears are much better, and they do a good job of blocking out external noise.

That problem is unlikely to be hardware. If all your other problems are sorted, I'd stick with the phone you have. If they swap it out, although it will be a new phone, you won't have matching serial numbers with your current packaging, so could lower its value when you come to sell it.

I'd give Apple another call if it's not sorted. My contacts are a right mess, totally duplicated lots of times. I gave up trying to sort it and just added my favourites and use search to find one. They're all there, but it's not tidy at all.

Yeah, I would imagine they would be. They are giving you a better seal in your ear canal. I'm really not sure how anyone can use the Apple EarPods, even a £15 pair or Sony / Panasonic would give better isolation and sound quality.

The Apple earbuds leak badly too. I don't want my fellow bus passengers to hear Genesis or Led Zep! I had some of the in-ear Apple ones which were better, but overpriced in my opinion. I got the Sony 650s from Amazon a few months back for £40. There's a mic and pause/skip remote, but no volume control. It's a compromise I'm happy to make as I can always change the volume from my Apple Watch. I use Beats Solo2 at home, but feel silly out and about with them, and they take up too much room in my bag.

I don't understand why the Apple Buds aren't better. I remember them releasing them a few years back with all the scientific bumpf about design and acoustics etc. The iPhones have a good sound (depending on source of course), so if you love your music and listen to a lot, then a £40 investment isn't a lot and it improves things immensely.

Sorry, ranted on there. Went a bit off topic.

The point is, the Apple buds on my 6s are not loud enough for everyday use travelling, and they leak to the outside world. They are definitely quieter than my 6+ from last year. I haven't tried other sources such as Spotify or Deezer etc, just been using Apple Music for the last three months.

I too have the B&W C's series 2's. Love them. They are by far the best in ears I've ever used. I don't use the EQ, I just have it turned off but am interested what others have it set to?

Completely agree with you.

Apple really should put some effort in making a good and reasonably price in-ear phones. The EarPod are shockingly bad. Say that all in-ear phones which are included with phones are all the same. Even the £70 Apple Earphones are terrible for the price. There's some cracking deals around on Amazon for the £40 mark, all of them beat Apples one 4 or 5 times over.

For example -
Soundmagic E10 - built in remote, and mic for £30
Sennheiser CX 3.00 - £35.

There's so may bad things to say about the EarPods, it's difficult to say anything positive about them. Maybe with the Beats take over the new version might be better.

Yeah I love them, I'm a bit of a B&W fan. I have the P5ss and P7s. Yep leave all the EQ turned off, it's the best way.

To be honest with you, having had Apple's warranty refurbs twice before, I really wouldn't be concerned about it. As Mr.C said, because of how new the models are it's likely that warranty stock are actually new... But even if they're not, Apple refurbs are some of the best in any business.

To refurb an iPhone, I believe Apple have them back, return them to like-new condition, give them burn in tests to ensure that the devices are fault free (something that either doesn't happen with new devices, or if it does certainly not to the same extent), and then they re-package them. They come with the same guarantees and warranties as your original phone (I think the warranty date remains as your original purchase because that's all UK law requires).

All-in-all, Apple refurb stock are as good as new - or maybe better because of the extra testing.

I agree. I've had Apple refurbished phones before and they have all been as new like a brand new retail model. The only annoying thing is that the serial number won't match the one on the original box although it's not that big a deal. When selling it you would probably have to make the buyer aware of this if selling with the box.
