Yeah I like my cases with as minimal branding/writing as possible
Same.

Would have gone with one of Apple's Beats cases this year but the 'beats' branding on the case looks cheap and as a 30-something year old guy makes it look like I'm trying too hard. Anything with writing or a company logo on is a non-starter.

Production and delays aside, I always go with Caudabe, it's hard to fault their cases.

Nope. Skipping this one as a 15 Pro Max owner.

I'd have gone for the Air, but the single lens camera arrangement + USB 2 transfer speeds (because I shoot DMG photos fairly often to edit on a laptop) killed my interest in it.

it has USB-2 while also having the A19 pro? Thats weird, kinda surprised its not faster by default

It’s what ruled out esr for me with their “camera guard” text, it’s just unnecessary. So probably going techwoven

Feels nice and “fresh start” vibes though after you take the time.
This is true and used to be my approach but now I get a new phone every year, it’s just too much hassle. I customise quite a few things.

For me the iCloud backup is the best way, because it doesn’t transfer media and keeps iCloud Photos in the cloud until you need them, so it still gives your new phone more free storage space than your old phone had. And I find it works quite fast.

Quite looking forward to downsizing from the Pro Max to the Pro. The 16PM was on the edge for me comfort-wise and although it’s not much, the extra thickness/width/weight is not what I’d have preferred.

Haven’t used a 6.3” phone before but feels like it could be the sweet spot. I’ve been using my 6.1” 16e work phone more and the physical size is nice.

Although I’ll probably be a sucker for trying the foldable next year. The next few years looks genuinely quite interesting - I am wondering what the lineup will end up looking like in 2027, and if the rumoured 20th anniversary glass phone AND a folding phone will be available. I wonder how many people here will go from a 17 Pro/Max -> Folding -> all-glass?! At least it’s a bit more interesting than the 12 -> 13 -> 14 years…

Welcome to the club. Obviously the bigger screen and battery life is great, but the trade offs of the Pro Max just aren't worth it IMO. The noticeable extra weight and bulk, and being able to use a phone one-handed like with the 6.3" is a big plus.

Yes I know some people can technically use the Pro Max one-handed if they have large hands or don't mind juggling the phone, but it's awkward. I think if someone stays at home a lot, or is sat down for most of their day and doesn't need to travel/commute a lot then the Pro Max is OK, but for the average person the Pro just seems more life-friendly in every way.

Trust me, working in cybersecurity for all the banks for the past 20 years, those “security ballaches” are very much worth going through
I work in cybersecurity too, and there's no way I’d ever install a banking app on my phone.

Odd I bought a 17PM and case and have a pending charge on credit card for it at £1248 just now got another charge for just the phone at £1199. I assume the first will actually clear for the £49 of the case??

Just for an email from Music Magpie about sending in my current phone. Thought I only had 14 days but it’s 21 which is good!

Bit concerned they’ll reduce the price due to tiny chips/paint flaking away (black iPhone 14 Pro) but will see.

Would have gone with Apple trade in but they were offering a bit less.

The shenanigans have been shenaniganing. You’ve missed out.

iPhone Air, 512GB, Cloud White.

Because I’m a renegade and it’s what Steve would have wanted.

Let me guess yours: iPhone 17 Pro Max, Deep Blue, 256GB.

Exactly that, I didn’t get the titanium series 11 in the end though, got the black ultra 3 instead.

You will have to let me know what the air is like.

Good luck with that, they will probably offer you something ridiculously under what you were quoted.
Think they have changed the process since I last used it as they now have excellent/good. Mine is probably between the two. Would be happy with the good price to be honest.
