Does anyone know if WhatsApp is any easier to transfer to a new iPhone these days?
Do you still have to remember to do the manual transfer thing with the old and new iPhones next to each other? Been 2 years since I did this and it totally messed up last time I tried and so I lost all my messages

Here's me thinking going up to 6.9" is not enough. Wish it was 7.1-7.3" for the Pro Max. Maybe one day.
I'd honestly carry an iPad Mini around with me. I'd be excited for the folding iPhone if it wan't for the plastic screen and higher price tag.
I’m going caseless for the first time, but still unsure about going screen protectorless to prevent scratches rather than drop protection. For those who don’t use a screen protector, how was your experience? I’d be keeping the phone a few years rather than upgrading every year.

Thanks for that. I'm sure I tried the last time and it failed for some reason. I will do a manual iCloud back-up on Friday before I start the new set-up then try an iCloud restore before I reset the old iPhone in case I have to do a manual transfer.
Bit the bullet and went for the 17P via Raylo - just looking at cases and screen protectors now.

i use a case/screen protector. i could maybe get used to not using a case but i would NEVER ditch a screen protector. i don't care how good the screen is advertised to be. my belief is that it will still get scratched no matter what and i can't deal with scratches on a screen. the screen is what you look at. i can ignore scratches on the sides/back but not the screen.
Having watched JerryRigEverything videos the line "scratches at a level 6 with deeper grooves at a level 7" is forever stuck in my head. It's something that never really improves when it comes to screens. No matter how good they are meant to be they still scratch and there doesn't seem to be any improvement.
A screen protector is less noticeable than a case and they are cheap so I'm putting one on.
I'm still waiting for them to change me :/. They took the money for my Apple Watch and AirPods the day after preorder (Wednesday), but they're dragging out my pro max. All still show 19/09 delivery and the watch and AirPods Pro are showing as Preparing to ship.
still haven't been charged for my watch/airpods.

I think that is my main issue. While I do not usually wear tight trousers, it can be genuinely annoying to carry the phone in my pocket. It does feel heavy and I have actually noticed a dent in my pinkie from one handed use. I have been using the Google Pixel 8 as my second phone and have come to really appreciate its size and how easy it is to use one handed.
The only thing I might miss is the battery life, but I am hoping that with the new chips there will not be much of a difference.
Id they also put a hold of the money in your bank account or whatever method you have used?
Yeah they charged me for the phone again when it moved status, however as they said it would the original charge of the phone and case has now cleared for just the case amount so all good

Same mate. I briefly used my cousins 16 Pro Max and decided to go for that instead of 4 or 5 'normal' Pros in a row.
