I noticed some users phone orders are moving to the ( Preparing for shipment ) stage, anyone here yet? No for me.
They’ve got more than thousands of orders to prepare, looks like they have made a start but nothings gonna move till Thursday. Yours will follow next week ready for Friday delivery.

If it says delivery for 19th Sept, you’ll get it on the 19th. You don’t need to watch the order page refreshing every 5 minutes. This isn’t Apple’s first release day for a range of products - they have it under control. The phones will be sent from China and arrive in the depot in Coventry, be sent out Thursday night to everyone with an 19th delivery date and arrive in your hand on Friday, like they do every year.

Decided not to get a case for my Pro, going to go naked for the first time with AppleCare+.

Anyone else going naked with their new phones?

yes-ish. Getting an air and realised I’ve had a screen protector and clear case on most of the time for as long as I can remember and never had a scratch or chip or any drop of any significance to worry about. So I’m going to be more free with the air. I will have backup of applecare and if I do have an incident I’ll then wrap it in bubble wrap.

So no screen protector, and no case most of the time. If I’m travelling to work on the train and using contactless on the tube I’ll put on a spigen thin clear case just in case.

The combination of no protector and no case on the air -coming from a 15 pro max with protector *and* case should feel dramatic.

Calm down my friend... if you got confirmation for 19th, you will be fine :)
Well, after the fiasco that happened yesterday with my original order, being the declined because of using Apple Pay and my bank decided to block the card, they assumed it was a fraudulent transaction so I’m just double checking and triple checking making sure everything will run smoothly this time, also I spoke to Apple representative again now confirming that everything is fine and I spoke to my bank fraud team again checking that no block has re-added to the card for the transaction and it should be all clear.

Calling me overcautious, I guess I am.

I've been stung in the past using ApplePay so switched to using the card details and that works well for high value items. But this year I lost my head and done 2 pre preorders and the 2nd one I used ApplePay on the iPhone Air order. That was the one I actually processed and it worked out fine this year. it's a pot luck situation I think.

Yikes, the same dilemma.

I mean using Apple Pay is more secure as it require your face ID, unless the thief took a scan of my face, while I’m still awake and with them that’s near impossible. Shouldn’t be the best way doing transaction, it is more secure after all, I assume wrong.

What phone did you order and what time was the order?
I got the 17PM in blue and my wife bought the Air in gold (that might not be kept if she doesn’t like it), both 512gb.

Hi does anybody know how strict apple are with trade in condition? I’ve got a 15pro in blue and the power button has a couple of marks where the paint has flaked off. It’s been in a case since bought so I can only assume it’s the plastic part of the case button that’s rubbed over time. The rest of the phone is immaculate. Thanks.

Now the wait begins for Friday, thankfully I’m off from work from Thursday to Sunday

They don't care about normal wear and tear. As long as it all works it will be fine.

RIP…. I usually order the iPhone through Very in recent years, placed my order as usual straight as soon as the preorders came live just after 1pm…. I’ve moved house since I last used it… guess who’s an idiot and just sent it to my old address….

The people in store tend to be much more forgiving than if it’s sent via post. The main things are the screen and the back glass. It if there is significant scratches or colour flaking off the sides, they likely will reduce the value.

Hopefully so. It’s just a couple of marks about the size of a pin head however as the colour is silver under the blue you can see them.
