I was shocked with iJustine on her YT video after the announcmanet at Apple park.

She actually said 'Now I don't critisize Apple very often (COUGH), but I'm not a huge fan of the Orange' :eek: :oops:

Well... let me tell you, I just about fell off my seat when she uttered those words.. she actually said she doesn't like the Orange...

Yeah pretty solid and making me seem happy with my decision! Seems it's exactly what Apple marketed it as so that's great. I don't play games on my phone and only take photos of my kids so it seems perfect for my use!

I'm not getting the battery pack but i find it disappointing it only got the Air to 68% from full use for the £99 price point.

Marginally better than the 65% Apple quoted on the product page... so that's a good thing.
 
I wanted to hold out to see the colours of the 17 Pro in person, I've been going between all three so many times, will take a look on Friday and then decide. I still have mazuma sale for my 15 Pro at £525 but its valid until 23rd I believe.

Naturally, but it's still enjoyable seeing the devices in various lighting conditions outside of Apple's football pitch demo area, and gathering other little tidbits before the launch day.

From the Wired review:-

"The Air was generally able to last a full day with average use for me. I hit around five hours of screen-on time with around 18 percent left by 10:30 pm."

No mention of his use cases like checking mail or taking videos/pics.

Actually, if you read the whole review, he does mention his use cases elsewhere: "On one travel day, I took the phone off the charger at 5:30 am and used it extensively for navigation, music streaming, phone calls, and Instagram Reeling, and I hit 2 percent by 4:30 pm."

That's pointless info unless he specifies how much time he spent using navigation for example, it could be just 5 minutes for all we know.

that air review is a little odd. It reads like a higher score than the 7/10 they give it. The ‘costs too much’ is arguably something reviews shouldnl’t cover - give me the details and I’ll make the value call - it certainly shouldnl’t affect the score even if they pass comment on it.

most other things seem way less compromised than so many commentators after the reveal last week.

what is the big deal with a silicone carbide battery? is that meant to bring more density? if so potentially all except the pro will get thinner so might be more of an overall direction of travel for their design?
