Ah ok, yeah that looks good. In you creation app, do you see the Apple account with your available credit?
No that's where the issue is. I'm not seeing it at all, but Creation have emailed me with an account number so I think it is all set up but just not linked. All I can see is an old Curry's finance account which I haven't used in years. I've been trying to purchase a Series 12 through Creation too but it falls down at the login stage so I think there's a gremlin in the system somewhere.

Update: Spoke to a lovely fellow at Creation who said it was because I had an old account and there was an issue with merging. All working and makes me much less nervous for tomorrow now 😅

I’m thinking of pre ordering the 18 pro max for delivery and trading in my 13 pro max, (I’ve only ever traded in when in store) has anyone done this and did the payout match the quote? How quickly would I get the value credited to my account? I’m paying in full for the new phone. Thanks

Done it a few times, never had an issue with the price quoted. Can't remember exactly how long it took to credit it, but don't think it was very long after they received it.

Signed up for payments through Creation for the first time, got approved, but I can't see the plan on the Creation website or app. It's pulling up an old Curry's account from years ago but not the Apple plan created last night.

Anyone else not seeing their plan?

Weirdly, I applied with my Outlook email address and the confirmation/acceptance came to my Outlook email. I then had trouble signing in. Turns out it was my iCloud email it was tied to. I never entered it at any stage and the confirmation came to my Outlook email address. So I think Apple passes along your iCloud information.

Might be worth checking with that one too.

Ive just spoken to CS at Creation. Mine got declined on the nineth which puzzled me. According to them my Name and Address do not match my credit file hence the application did not proceed forward. Told me to apply again after 10 days. The address format pulled from your Apple ID does not match the address format used on Creation Finance application page so be careful and check all your details.

For context i currently pay £70 a month including Apple One for 16 Pro Max that i got on launch…

Finance + Sim Only + Apple One sub won’t match that and it’ll be the same for the 18 Pro Max.

I’ll obviously check but it’s been the case for years, i don’t really need lecturing on the matter 😂

I'll probably ring EE once the orders go live because every time I do a preorder online, I get an XKO number that never seems to get processed despite the confirmation email. I usually phone them up, and they say they have no record of it, pathetic communication for a communication company. At least when I phone them up, it's processed immediately with the contract signed and guaranteed over the phone.
This, along with the multiple delivery date pushbacks and better after-sales service from Apple if something goes wrong with the device, is the reason that going direct to Apple and SIM-only with the carrier is not a stupid idea.

I think I'm going to pre-order. As much as I could wait for the hype to die down, 'wait to see how others get on' or wait for the second generation, this is genuinely exciting! A whole new form factor, a new CEO, pretty much a major new version of iOS when you think of all those changes, GOOD AI from Apple. Why the hell not.

But I hate that they're making us wait a month. Seen the Duo on Vodafone's app / site... no pricing though. Will be direct from Apple.

Does anyone turn up at stores these days on Pre-Order day or is that a thing of the past?

If youve got the money and are excited about it, why not get the duo. you'll be among the first to get it. Don't let other opinions affect what makes you excited

Disagree, rarely have issues with EE, and it will probably work out significantly cheaper per month especially if 50% off air time carries over.

Unless you like throwing money down the drain

Back for another year!
Going for the 18 Pro - torn between glacier and black. Coming from an orange 17 Pro and have an orange MagSafe wallet so I think probably the black. Did do the pre-order setup with Creation for the glacier, but this bit at the bottom of the email has reassured me I can continue to deliberate for the next 23 hours!
Changes and Availability
You can make changes to your iPhone finish before you check out. Keep in mind that change could affect your delivery estimate.

Yes you can do that. Cancelling the pre pre order reflects almost instantly on the creation account and resets your limit.
If you setup your creation account before hand by cancelling your pre pre for an 18PM, how does it work when it comes to the pre pre for the duo? Do you still have to go through the Apple pre order process on the app but then log into your creation account rather than setup a new one with a fresh credit search etc? Barclays was so much more simpler. Thanks mate

Going for a 256GB 18 Pro in Silver this year. Don't really need to upgrade from my 17 but I've missed the better camera on the Pro's. Trade in for a 256GB 17 is £470 plus I only really paid about £200 for the 17 as it was bought from CEX mainly with store credit.

I get 30% off at EE

I get 50% off from EE but i prefer buying directly from Apple.

What earned you those discounts? Are they loyalty discounts? New customer discounts when you first signed up that never went away? Special offers from recently? Special offers from years ago that were for life? Something else?

I've always bought direct from Apple and got a cheap pay-monthly SIM-only package to get me connected but my current MVNO is on the Vodafone network and it's rubbish in the places I visit the most. My research(*) suggests that EE might be better so I'm thinking of switching anyway in which case I should at least explore the option of getting my next phone (an iPhone 18 Pro Max) as part of an EE bundle instead of my usual direct-from-Apple approach.

(*) My "research" mostly being, on my way out from a pub/coffee shop/etc where I've just spent the whole time watching other people on their phones when I've not been able to get any data connection at all, asking one of those people if they were accessing mobile data (they might have been playing games and/or on WiFi) and if so what network they are on. I obviously explain why I am asking and everyone I've asked is more than happy to help and the most common answer I've had is that they are on EE.

Creation is pretty simple to be honest, You'll see your active Apple account in the app with the credit limit. You just checkout with creation. Only 1 credit search is done on initial setup.
