UK New MacBook Pro Thread.

The status for my rMBP changed to dispatched today. Apparently it will be on a direct flight from Shanghai to London with 83 others. Estimated delivery on the 10th (has to be merged with the £70 gift card), but I hope it arrives before!

Mine seems to be stuck on ready for delivery and was released from customs at 10.51 this morning. Doesn't seem like there's any movement. Anyone else experience this?
 
So about to just give up... fed up with seeing people with order dates way later than mine just be delivered... absolutely peeved off its been 3 weeks I know they said 3-4 weeks dispatch but quite frankly I know that they have delayed my order to allow stock to build up in their stores and as they have some stupid policy of only offering the extended warrantee on student machines in their online store I can't get it in store either...

Quite frankly I'm really quite annoyed now...

Oh - mine doesn't come up with anything on Expeditors. Instead I got a UPS tracking number with the latest saying 'Departure Scan' from Shanghai in China...

Same as yours (at 17:00 GMT (18:00BST)), although, in my case at least, I suspect it's delivery to the merging site at Hinckley :(

EDIT: If it's out for delivery to you then there should be a reference number in the Delivery Service field on the Shipment Status page on the Apple site

Hmm, if UPS are handling the whole trip factory to door then you're lucky. That's what the US guys get (but with FedEx) :)

Yeah - seems that I am a lucky one, says that I should be here in 3 days! :) - has this not happened to anyone else?!

Not that I'm aware of in the UK, but most folks seem to have ordered through the education store ...*cough cough* are students... to benefit from the discount and gift card which is merged in the UK and which a direct UPS delivery wouldn't accommodate.

Apple order tracking is slow. It will update tobight/overnight to say out for delivery. Have faith :)

Faith? Ha! If the day I've had is anything to go by I'll be lucky to see it this side of Christmas!!

It's my birthday, I u/g VMWare Fusion from v3 to v4 on the old MBP and now the printers don't work under XP, the wife's poorly, I've taken a chunk of skin off my elbow, and I've got an abscess on my arse :(

Mine was saying Monday 9th, but has now been updated to 5th!! Coming via UPS although it just says:

Shanghai, China 02/07/2012 23:43 Departure Scan

on the UPS website - it does say Shipped by:

UPS Worldwide Expedited

Even though I paid for Standard...

If it comes on Thursday then I will be a happy man!!

Mine has also been updated to "out for delivery" from 5pm today. Haven't received a Dhl tracking number yet though?

Apple estimated delivery is 4/5th July , what is yours?

Maybe Apple have been reading this thread and decided to up their game!
 
Maybe apple are doing everything they can to ship out our rMBP's as soon as possible so if they send a pallet of them direct from China to London then everybody wins.

Exact same as mine! Yay... Hope mine arrives on Thursday too!

In one of the emails it said "on or before 4th July" but on the Shipment Status page 5th July (subject to change)

Mind you, if they cleared Customs by 9 then they could have got them to Hinckley, merged, and shipped out to us today :)
 
TheSeb, Shepperd and anyone else expecting delivery tomorrow - are your UPS tracking details showing anything meaningful yet? For me the info shows that the 2 packages haven't been collected from Apple's merger centre yet. :eek:
 
I've just seen the Macbook Pro with Retina display advert on TV which says "Limited availability"! Never seen this on an Apple ad before.
