iPod touch UK order status thread

Its in Holland now, i doubt it will arrive tomorrow. :(

When we ordered my macbook on a credit card we wernt charged untill after it was here. but on my touch i was charged as soon as i ordered it on my card (debit so thats to be expected)
 
Mine is also a debit and they haven't taken the money. I'm not bothered about it but I thought they would have by now, I ordered a week ago.

Mine was taken the day after I orderd (6th) but thats because I used a debit card, I thought credit cards usually get charged when it gets shipped, but I guess may take a few days to show up on your account?

TNT seemed to think otherwise according to someone.

If it moves out tonight, arrives in the UK overnight/early morning, could easily be with you tomorrow.

Yep mine now in Holland too. I pretty much think they will carry on today with the despatch from there then by tommorrow morn it will be in UK. Probs come here by lunch.

have u phoned up tnt?? cus there fone systems aot better then the website, i fone them up early on and mine is at the depo

It's 24 hours. 0800 100600. I just called (was curious), didn't even have to wait in a queue (which is damn good service, free number, fast, why aren't more companies like that?), and was told that it is due to be out for delivery tomorrow. YAY! I guess they are going to put it on a late night flight (because, that would be cheapest) or something, thus it'll reach the local depot in the early hours, and be put straight on to a van (that is probabaly cheaper for them too, rather than having to use up space to store them). This is a very different experience to what I normally get (companies always seem to send me stuff via city link).

Hmm, you know, I need a touch like device to check the tracking as I move about campus throughout the day, so that as soon as it arrives I can rush down to reception and pick it up. Damn catch 42.

Ok gave them a ring... same awesome service :D told me it had left the Netherlands and will be delivered between 8am and 6pm tomorrow! w00t. Hoping it's earlier rather than later because I have classes from 9.30am onwards
 
Rang TNT also and they put me through to International, they asked if it was coming from Apple (probably had loads of calls) and said it should be out for delivery tomorrow! :)

Can't wait now! The TNT site must be really behind!

Same here, but i'll be at college and dont get back till 5.30:eek: but hey it will be worth the wait.

anybody ordered an ipod touch through argos? I went into the store on friday and the guy at the till ordered me one for delivery on Saturday 29th Sept. I had to pay £4.95 + £2.95 for Saturday delivery. Saturday came and the receipt said to wait until 2pm for delivery. In the morning I got a letter saying it could be delivered any time until 12th Oct. I'm not impressed!! don't argos have a system which tells stores the availability or is it a ploy to get as many people ordering through them as possible? I'm not happy with them taking my money and providing false information about delivery. I will have to chase up the extra money I paid for Saturday delivery.. if i'd have known I would have ordered online and got free delivery. grrr rant over.
