iPod touch UK order status thread

hmm, those two together sound like why Apple may have estimated the 9th, but the date may move forward when it gets picked up by TNT, thats what happened with mine, got moved from 5th to 2nd.
 
You guys still reckon delivery is still on for Tuesday?
or Monday maybe?

Same here, mine is still in the air, well...it hasnt landed yet according to TNT, so its been flying for about 2 days now :rolleyes:. I thought it would go to Ireland as all my other Apple products have come from there, but then again these have just come from China.

Like I posted in the other thread, I would have thought any that now show 'Shipped From Originating Depot' wouldnt be affected as they would be in the air and when they land they should be in Europe and so...no holidays here, good for iPods but bad for me as I want a day off.
 
Nothing happens over the weekend.

I doubt they'll arrive tomorrow, but wouldn't rule it out - last time I ordered something from China (this was through DHL I think) I was watching the tracking, it arrived in the UK at about 7am about 100-200 miles away, and I think it was about 11am when they tried to deliver it. That's when I learned to get things delivered to work, but yeah, I was in awe at that... when you consider that post takes 24 hours or so to go from one part of the country to the other, this seemed impressive.

(Sidenote: DHL rock. When I missed that 11am delivery, it was on a Friday and I finish work at 1pm on Fridays. On an offchance I phoned the depot, and the driver was kind enough to swing back to my area around 2.30pm simply because he sometimes has to go back to a local factory so he could get away with it. Friendly guy too, good craic on arrival.)

So does "Shipped from originating depot" actually mean it is in the air out of China, or does it just mean that it is officially tagged as being handed over from Apple to the courier?

Is Pudong airport the one in Shanghai, or does the cargo stop somewhere else before heading to the UK?
 
seem like its still not in the UK, cos my tracking says nothing different. Tuesday is very likely to be the day we get it.
 
Right, being with out internet for the weekend I've just learned that my Touch shipped on the 29th (not the 28th as promised). Apple says they expect delivery by the 11th of October - that can't be right can it?

No, thats just where your invoice came from. Apples administration HQ for the UK is there I believe.

Does anyone know if TNT will leave the parcel with a neighbour or in the shed? As i wont be in tommorow to take the delivery?
